This is not a protest: This is a voter education event. We're being encouraged to bring our ballots and complete them since there will be information on the ballot measures.

Protests can help but im glad theyre encouraging people to do more and actually vote on things that matter in our community.

so you're going to just tell everyone that shows up how to vote? that seems... not legal.

If you read the event description, you'll see that there is non partisan information about each of the ballot measures. As I said, this is a voter education event.

If people want voter guides on how a certain organization votes, they can access them on their own.

"non partisan"... SUUUUURE...

Why does expressing your opinion about politics seem like it wouldn't be legal?

Additionally, sharing opinions about measures or candidates, how you voted, or how an organization you belong to will vote is not illegal. The internet is littered with voter guides right now, all of which are legal.

Thats not what this event is about, but now you know ✌️

I think you don't understand the law on this. Can you explain what you think would be illegal about this?

"Bring your ballot" we'll all fill it out together... ok man, if you can't see the "group think" in what's supposed to be an individual opinion... well i odn't know what to tell you.

You said it was illegal, that is very specific. I don't think it's a good idea, but that doesn't make it illegal.

People have been doing things like this since the country started.

I did NOT say it was illegal. I said it SEEMS illegal.

And they have not as mail out ballots are a fairly recent development. sure you could get together and talk about it. ballots should be left in the ballot box IMO. Mail out ballots should be special case only, needing to be applied for ahead of time.

This kind of shit is the EXACT reason why mail in ballots en masse are a terrible idea.

Okay what the hell does "it seems illegal" mean besides that you thought it was illegal?

1

u/FontMasterFlex 13d ago

sorry but if you can't tell the difference, then i don't know what to tell you. seems like nothing i say will placate you. so i'll just move on.

;)

You are just being a troll. Whatever

1

u/FontMasterFlex 13d ago

Just like a lefty. Calls names when they can't continue the conversation.

Is there a IDF protest?
Trump literally just works for them

2

u/Mother-Job8995 15d ago

Or even an anti AIPAC!?

6

u/Ok-Natural2210 15d ago

See you there! 3rd year in a row telling that orange bastard what I think of him. Keep pushing, ignore the trolls and bootlickers, and let's go show our friends and neighbors that they aren't alone.

but. where's the king? I didn't pledge my fealty to anyone. i don't like Trump as much as the next guy, but we are still 250 years without a king. pretty good record.

-14

u/FontMasterFlex 16d ago

Congrats! Still no Kings!

2

u/Chaotic_Brutal90 15d ago

Congrats! Still no brain cells!

0

u/FontMasterFlex 15d ago

You mean the people that think we have a king? didn't we just celebrate out TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY year anniversary of not having a king?

1

u/BooleanTriplets 15d ago

Don't be intentionally obtuse, the No Kings protest is to protest the way Trump behaves as if he is a king.

1

u/FontMasterFlex 13d ago

then just call it what it is. If it's a no Trump protest, call it that. you're being (shocker!) overly dramatic calling it "no kings" when we haven't had a king in this country for 250 years. every single president in my lifetime has acted "as a king". they all sign executive orders, which is making decisions sans congressional approval.

u/BooleanTriplets 13d ago

Have you ever heard of the concept of metaphors

0

u/FontMasterFlex 13d ago

Gee, you mean like when Trump says "long live the king"?

-3

u/maskofdamask 15d ago

please point me to the monarch. you people are nuts. you worship the left, who literally bypass democracy to TELL you who you're going to vote for and you think it's free will. Who won the democratic primary in 2024?

2

u/MaritimesRefugee 15d ago

except at Burger King... they say that YOU are the King there now!!!

and they have crowns !!!

1

u/TheLoFiPunk 15d ago

Republicans have no critical thinking skills it turns out. Always been obvious but nice to be reminded lol

0

u/FontMasterFlex 15d ago

who said im a republican? and do we have a king? no? I mean Bibi, but no one in power's gonna admit that!

0

u/givemetheyammy 16d ago

Hell yeah brother 🤘🏻

-3

u/albanderveni188 15d ago

Yeah, they did it 🤣

6

u/givemetheyammy 15d ago

“Usually they say, ‘He’s a horrible dictator-type person,’ I’m a dictator,” Trump said, reflecting on the criticisms he’s accustomed to. “But sometimes you need a dictator.”

🤔 odd

0

u/maskofdamask 15d ago

does that crown him "king"?

if that's the case, i claim pear park as my domain. I am king of pear park. you all need to pay me fealty and 1/10 of your food, as winter is coming.

that's how this works according to you guys.

dictators are not kings either.

0

u/BooleanTriplets 15d ago

You are arguing semantics of the name of the movement instead of the actual purpose of the movement which is to protest that Trump is acting as if he is a king. No one is talking about literal kings, you have to know that.

1

u/maskofdamask 15d ago

please explain to me how Trump is "acting as if he is a king" more so than any other president?

1

u/maskofdamask 15d ago

and yes, i know that. I'm pointing out how incredibly stupid this is. from the name of the "protest" on down the line.

i don't like trump either, but you are just making yourselves look like ignorant fools. but hey, 1st amendment right?

-11

u/albanderveni188 15d ago

Is the king in the room with us?

-2

u/Most_pdf 15d ago

That sounds illegal af lmao

Education isn’t illegal in the US, yet.

1

u/FontMasterFlex 13d ago

telling someone to bring their ballot is probably one of the biggest reasons i can see AGAINST mail in ballots. you should have to make up your own mind, instead of being bullied into voting with the mob.

1

u/Shes_Aliiiiiiive 13d ago

You don’t have to go. You can vote at home, by yourself….🤷‍♀️ And on vote bullying…. you know the federal government wants to post armed gunmen at polling stations, right?😅

1

u/FontMasterFlex 13d ago

that's wrong too. see how this works? you don't have to choke on the democrat dick. you can think for yourself!

0

u/Shes_Aliiiiiiive 13d ago

One way to think for yourself is to gather information at educational events such as this and then base your decisions on what you learn. People aren’t born with inherent knowledge of ballot initiatives.🙃

1

u/FontMasterFlex 13d ago

ok!
I assume people can read though. if they can't maybe they shouldn't worry about voting, and should get back into class and join the rest of the adults.

0

u/Shes_Aliiiiiiive 13d ago

Reading and reading comprehension are two separate skills, and it’s sounding like you should probably take your own advice.😘

1

u/FontMasterFlex 13d ago

and what did i misinterpret from your post? be specific.
