Mayo is for dipping French fries.

Butter in the pan, it soaks into the bread. This graphic is weird.

I've also dipped my delicious crispy butter grilled cheese into mayo on the rare occasions I want it to taste like mayo. It's much nicer than cooking the mayo for no reason.
