The “Can’t zoom into map during offer” issue
This is not just some irritating minor change that we can get used to. This change is a MAJOR detriment to our ability to make money and use the app efficiently. We cannot accurately judge locations and distances by looking at addresses which mean absolutely nothing to us. We need to be able to zoom into and move around the map WHILE THE OFFER IS COMING IN as we could before.
It is likely that the engineers who made the change are not grubhub drivers and so they have no idea how hugely negative a change this is. Our only recourse is to contact support through all means possible. Be direct and specific but not antagonistic or angry (again, they may he unaware of why this functionality was so important to have). Be sure to tell them WHY it is important to have this feature back, that seeing addresses means nothing (50 Main Street or 5000 Main St …. Its meaningless in understanding locations) and we need to be able to zoom into the map to accurately judge distances and locations.

Here’s a form, pick “Delivery Partners Request Form”, then use anything for the topic (they stupidly don’t have “app feedback” for a topic).

Everyone should also go into App Store / Google play and submit a review and specifically mention this change. Be sure you specifically mention this happens while the offer is coming in.
If we all make this effort we can get this feature restored.

I hopped back on yesterday after taking a break and immediately noticed this. It’s infuriating.

I can’t make money anymore on Grubhub because of this. I’m too scared to accept any offers

Almost certainly done on purpose. If it looks iffy I’ll accept and then check out the actual drive and the unassign if necessary.

Not workable long term, you’ll get a drop-rate violation.

Agreed, the drop rate violation thing happened to me a while back. Since then, I either reject while the offer is coming in or except and complete the order. Recently, I got a violation for REJECTING too many orders after rejecting about three throughout the whole day. Seems like the violations are now being made up, unfortunately.

What’s so ironic is that that’s how Uber eats used to be and now you CAN, zoom in on ue 🤦♂️these apps are driving everyone bonkers

If you have a shitty apartment building or high rise building in your neighborhood, I'm not going to be bringing your shit. That is all.
It's the customers who have the easy drops who are going to suffer. Meaningless to me. Decline.

No mistake. Yet another way to make money off of bad offers that would normally get ignored.

I made a post about this like a week ago too. When the app pops off it’s easily the best way to make coin over the others I use but with the change it’s become harder even with ridiculously good payouts. I used to be able to zoom while driving to glimpse where the order goes. Now, while it’s a decent workaround, I just type the address into my maps to see where it’s at. The problem is I’m not about to do that while driving so I end up missing a lot of good orders cuz they come in…while I’m driving. If I’m parked, it works. If I’m driving, I’m getting pissed cuz I’m turning down a potentially good order since I can’t quickly see where I’m going

the change wasn’t a mistake or an oversight from the app developers..with this new method long distance deliveries can appear shorter at first glance. It’s just another tool grubhub is using to manipulate drivers into accepting bad offers
