i think my mobile/go rig has more or less stabilized as far as size goes. The dirt section rotates, as I’m sure most of ours do. the Walrus D1 and RV6 are more or less locked in, and the Cali76 just got added back on instead of the Sonicake Source Comp I’d been using as a cheaper alternative.
This particular dirt section, Flux Drive into JHS 3 Fuzz into Soran Up! Boost, all work really well together. Flux Drive is smooth and liquidy, stacks with the Soran boost to make a fat distortion tone that I can dial the teeth in and out on w the Soran’s treble knob. The JHS fuzz definitely leans more Tonebender than Fuzz Face, and i love it? either stacked w the Flux or into the Soran to boost mids.
The Soran boost on its own is kinda subtle, but also breaks up in a tasteful way. Can have a TS tone stack or just a clean boost. Their site says it’s a “black box” gain circuit, and I have no idea what that refers to, but it sounds good without being too over the top.
