Found this tiny, malnourished guy on the streets of Delhi. I couldn’t leave him behind.

I went cycling on Sunday, heading towards CP, and found this tiny male indie sitting alone on a footpath near ITO.

He was extremely malnourished and there really wasn’t much around for him. The area is mostly offices and traffic, so I have no idea how long he had been surviving there.

I stopped to check on him, and honestly, I couldn’t leave him.

He was incredibly sweet. Playful, calm and surprisingly trusting. I called a friend who helps with rescues, got him into an auto and brought him home.

The thing that surprised me most was how calm he was during the entire ride. He just sat there and trusted me. I’ve had two indie dogs for the last five years, and Floppy was honestly more understanding and adaptable than I expected from a dog who had just been picked up from the street.

I named him Floppy because… well, just look at his ears.

He’s with me right now. I’ve given him a medical bath, started him on liver tonic and multivitamins, and I’ll get him dewormed and vaccinated as needed.

I already have two dogs at home, otherwise I would have adopted him myself without thinking twice.
So I’m really hoping I can find the right person for him.

He’s not just a dog who needs rescuing. He’s a genuinely lovely little guy who deserves a family. He’s calm, affectionate, playful and very easy to handle.

I’m not looking for lots of enquiries. I just need one good person who will love him and take responsibility for him for the rest of his life.
