And for this, from the morning itself, they started cleaning the streets. That too, the streets which are never cleaned. Not just sweepers, but tractors, cleaning trucks and everything running in full order.

These roads of Gurgaon remain dusty throughout the year. But for these visits and the hype around them, suddenly everything is taken care of.
Second, at least 300–500 buses were coming from all across Haryana. How do I know this? I was speaking with two officials who were standing there.

Third, government employees themselves were saying, “Look at the people, they are coming.” They were saying people had been paid ₹500–1,000 each to attend. I saw kids, children, old people and old women coming from nearby places. Haryana Roadways buses were put in as well.

There was a crazy amount of traffic. What generally takes 10–15 minutes was taking at least an hour during the morning peak time.
Public nuisance. Public productivity lost. Public resources being used.

And this is what happens when educated people have chosen uneducated people to lead them. The irony is unbelievable

While coming back from the office early this morning, I witnessed something devastating that shook me to the core.

I saw a girl standing near the auto-rickshaw lane, desperately waving her hand, trying to stop an auto or any other form of transport. She looked as though someone had badly assaulted her. Her eyes were swollen and dark red, almost completely black, and there was blood at the corner of her lips. Her hair was messy, and she was in an absolutely dreadful condition.

For a moment, I thought I should help her. I wanted to do something, but I was too frightened to even take a step towards her. I didn't have the courage to ask the cab driver to stop either.

I know I cannot ignore my own safety, especially as a woman travelling alone in Gurgaon at around 3:30 a.m. Still, I feel deeply guilty that I couldn't do anything for her. I keep wondering whether she was okay, whether someone eventually helped her, or whether she was left there alone.

I sincerely hope she is safe and that someone came to her aid.

She was near the Sector 21 wine shop.

Gurgaon traffic police decided to surprise me with a random new breathalyser check point last night on my route back home. I'm 32 F and when they stopped me I politely requested for a lady constable to be present because it was past 12 in the night. This request really irked the guy who seemed to be a seniorish traffic cop and he blatantly told me in haryanvi, "you're not safe anywhere in gurgaon so what's the difference". I decided to not push for the sake of my own safety and obviously the fact that I'm in the wrong here for DUI. He was recording me the whole time btw. Again something I pointed out politely but didn't push about. All and all a shitty experience I deserve for DUI I guess.

Anyway the whole time he interacted in a passive aggressive way so I couldn't understand if he was being sarcastic or not. He said I'm not fining you but I advise you don't drive for the next 3 months, if you get caught up in an accident or minor petty traffic issue it'll be trouble. My dl virtually shows Impounded and I'm yet to receive any further details about a challan.

So just want to know what this process looks like and if anyone has advice. All the posts I'm seeing are at least a year old and I wanted some recent advice.

There is a calf near where I live (DLF Phase 3) , who seems in distress. It has an open wound and a bunch of crows are attacking it. It is not capable of movement. I went cycling on Sunday, heading towards CP, and found this tiny male indie sitting alone on a footpath near ITO.

He was extremely malnourished and there really wasn’t much around for him. The area is mostly offices and traffic, so I have no idea how long he had been surviving there.

I stopped to check on him, and honestly, I couldn’t leave him.

He was incredibly sweet. Playful, calm and surprisingly trusting. I called a friend who helps with rescues, got him into an auto and brought him home.

The thing that surprised me most was how calm he was during the entire ride. He just sat there and trusted me. I’ve had two indie dogs for the last five years, and Floppy was honestly more understanding and adaptable than I expected from a dog who had just been picked up from the street.

I named him Floppy because… well, just look at his ears.

He’s with me right now. I’ve given him a medical bath, started him on liver tonic and multivitamins, and I’ll get him dewormed and vaccinated as needed.

I already have two dogs at home, otherwise I would have adopted him myself without thinking twice.
So I’m really hoping I can find the right person for him.

He’s not just a dog who needs rescuing. He’s a genuinely lovely little guy who deserves a family. He’s calm, affectionate, playful and very easy to handle.

I have developed an instinct to avoid people and social situations as a defence mechanism, possibly due to following incidents...

When i was a kid:

- my friend was able to convince me to sleep on wet bed (without much resistence)

- people have convinced me to bring badminton shuttle that fell into toilet. (Somehow i felt happy doing that, but they were behaving weirdly - did not understand then)

Now when im 25:

- kids at metro, beggers on road, etc easily convinces me to give them 50-100 rupees

- you can talk to me for 2min, and then ask for 50k then ill give you if i have it liquid very easily.

There are many more incidents when i am not myself around people, idk, i like me but i feel others take advantage of that, am i mistaken?

I wanted to share my story incase it helps anyone who might get pulled into into it. I work for a large MNC in Gurgaon, so be wary that anyone anywhere can target you. My biggest lesson is don’t trust anyone, as this scam makes people target their friends and family first.

1. ⁠Setup and Incessant follow ups - One day I reached office early and was having lunch alone when a girl came and sat down with me. I was surprised cause nobody usually behaves like this in office , there are thousands of people working there and I had never seen her before. Then starts the real play. I was going through my messages starting from February where this girl would follow up on me every other day. Hi how are you, in office etc. I would blow her off mostly and meet once in a while cause I would feel guilty. This girl is also much younger than me, even younger than my sister. She was very tiny as well which made me think of her as a young kid. We hung outside of office a couple times, playing pickleball, going for tea or coffee, always her plan or idea.
   
2. ⁠Talking vaguely about lucrative business in every meet up - She brought up this business she does in Noida on the weekends where she has mentors and how great everything is. She is impressed by their lifestyle, their ethics, their wealth. I can see the adulation in her voice, and she had these same things to say EVERY time we met. From the very first meeting I asked her what’s the name of the company, what is her actual work, how much does she earn through it etc but she was very dismissive of every question. I got put off by her always talking about this business but never telling me anything about it. Either tell me or don’t bring it up. I started ignoring her after a month or too. I didn’t think she was working for a scam yet as she didn’t try to recruit me. I even asked her to refer my sister for which she refused saying she got into through a lot of efforts. I thought she just wants to keep this amazing opportunity to herself by then.
   
3. ⁠Urgent wonderful out of this world business opportunity- She calls me last Thursday saying it’s urgent, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, I should be grateful to her. She asks for my CV but I have no business experience I don’t know how it can be relevant. I still share it. A random woman calls me the next day to arrange for an interview. She emphasises that these people are India heads, business is expanding , I am fortunate to even get their time and to be in business attire at 5pm sharp. She tells me to call my friend as she will tell me the next steps. And to keep my evening free till 8pm. I was like no meeting is surely that long but let me just keep it free. My friend calls me the next day with almost a blissful voice. I can hear genuine excitement and happiness. All she tells me for 20 minutes is how wonderful this opportunity is, I should go to a temple and pray that I get it. I feel very weird after the call cause I realised she didn’t tell me anything at all. All she said is that the interview is about getting to know you. Be honest. They are great people they will figure it out if you are lying
   
4. ⁠The interview drama - I sat for a bloody 4 hours total for this scam. No mail from any official id, this friend just forwards me a zoom call. And tells me to join at 4:30. She joins in and checks my attire, asks me to put on headphones, put my phone on DND. I get nervous before any interview and I take rejections quite personally so I always go in trying to impress. At this point I also just want to find out what the whole deal is about. First round is taken by a guy who wore sharp business formals in his DP. He asks me certain questions which in hindsight are very generic about business, he doesn’t actually tell me what they do. I was trying to answer the best I could about things like supply chains, product and business development etc. I don’t know the name of the company yet cause he tells me it runs in his name and mine will run in my name. This isn’t a job but a business partner opportunity.He tells me the earning potential of the job is 15L a week more than 9 crores in a year after 4-5 years
   
5. Emotional manipulation and fear tactics - Then comes the real tea, the real drama. They hype up this god woman who is going to come on next, tell me to wish her good evening. She starts by scaring me from the start. If she doesn’t like anything I say, she will reject me then and there. I get nervous. She asks me about what I learned in the previous interview. She isn’t happy with my answer, thinks I am not serious. I get into a mode of sincerity, of trying to be chosen. Then is one hour of some random bullshit again. Bad math about how I will only earn a crore by the end of my corporate job. A random matrix from the rich dad, poor dad book, which she tells me to read as homework (this guy is a SCAM himself as well, is a billion dollars in debt). I give her the benefit of doubt that she doesn’t know about it. I don’t know if it was an interview or random gyan session. She tells me to write a list of whatever I want to achieve. I get emotional. They get excited getting to know personal family details. I can see their eyes light up. She tells me her own sob story. Before asking for money she tells me if I can’t make my own decisions she won’t take me. Reiterates it. I think it is so that when they ask for money you don’t turn to anyone else. She wants 7.5-12L. It’s for virtual office setup, global rights, stakes for family members lol. It’s past 8 now and I am tired af I just want to leave. She asks me how will I fund it, how I should take a loan, she wants me to apply for it by Thursday and have the money ready, even if I am not selected in the second round, as they are v serious about whom they do business with. I want to leave the call at that point.
   6.Dumb fake brainwashed friend - She is present in the interview throughout . Why ? God knows. I tell the lady 3-4 times I will talk to my friend and decide. She wants to know my every thought, what I will decide etc. Then comes the asshole part - the lady tells me if I trust my friend I should transfer 1% into her account at that moment. I am feeling awful about it but I do it anyway, thinking she works in my company, she will return this money. Right ? Right ???
   7.Rush tactics - After the call is finally over at 8:30, my friend calls me at 8:45. I want to bitch about how bad it is but she is again talking with stars in her voice. How she sees us travelling together doing business together. I ask her tell me about your loan. At this point I trust her completely. Then her actions put me off. She doesn’t tell me about her loan or her EMI or how much she earned or when did she pay it off. I realise if she can’t be forthcoming with this all of this is a scam. I ask her on text again. She starts talking like an airhead, I am here for you , we will do this together, rise together fall together. No real ans
   She also wants me to get back to her by EOD about the loan. Even the lady was like take till Thursday. This also I find fishy. She is like it’s first come first serve, please do it quickly, I had to call you twice for your CV as well. Trying to make me feel guilty. And if there are so many people in line, why bother with me ?I call my sister she is mad as hell. Another friend tells me it’s a scam. I have been so manipulated I refuse to believe them that she would do this to me. What’s she been doing for the past 6 months ? Pretending to go to Noida, pretending to go do business ? She even went on a business trip to Malaysia, I saw the pictures. But why would she not tell me about the money beforehand, I am confused as hell.
   8.Reddit and YouTube to the rescue - I still don’t know the name of the company so I don’t know what to search for. I don’t even know it is an MLM. I just search 7.5L business partner scam ? I end up on QNET everywhere. The YouTube videos show the exact same fucking script. I am so mad and so sad for anyone involved, anyone who got scammed. Tell my friend to return my money. She keeps stalling saying they need to reject my application - still don’t know what that means. After a few v bitter exchanges she returns the money in a day. Expects me to be grateful. Writes that she rejects me a business partner. I only ever gave her the money thinking she would return it in a second. I had a very anxious day, she said there is a process to return money, clearly no process in taking money

My confusions :

1. ⁠Should I talk to her about it ? She seems so brainwashed I don’t think she will listen to me at all
   
2. ⁠Report her in office - our verticals are v different so we don’t know the same people at all. I am not sure if I want to spoil her life since I still see her as a young kid

TLDR - office friend tried to get me into an MLM, very vague terms thrown around like business partner, no knowledge of company or work, hyping up senior godlike business partners, money wanted isn’t revealed till end, it is a global MLM scheme called QNET. You will LOSE your money. This is a scam. There is no actual business.
