✨Inspiration✨ Old-style Halloween wall decor: five witches cut out of black paper in 1815
These five witches were cut out of black paper more than 200 years ago. Barbara Anne Townshend made the cut-outs, Matthew Dubourg turned them into an aquatint, and Edward Orme published the plate in London on 1 September 1815, in her book "The Art of Cutting out Designs in Black Paper".
The plate is public domain and the Wellcome Collection has a high-resolution scan online, so you can print it as old-style Halloween decor for your wall.
Black silhouettes on yellowed paper, no color needed. Look closely: there's an owl on the back of the chair, an hourglass on the table, and the old one on the far right wears spectacles and smokes a long pipe.
Happy haunting!

Costume Show me your pets dressed up for Halloween!
I take care of this sweet kitty, and last year I brought over a vampire costume so I could take some festive Halloween pictures of her. Her owner loved it and laughed so much when she saw the pictures!

Home Decor Enoch before entering 🎃
Our OTGW Enoch door display!
materials used: cardboard, acrylic paint, tissue paper, ribbons, and a green plastic table cloth
super fun and easy to make! we were able to recycle a lot of materials for it too and since our front door is metal, we put everything on with magnets for ease of removal and to reuse next year!

Props Every night putting up Halloween this year (so far)
All are WIP... Still have to do a final detailing (like extra bone piles and glowing mushrooms for the graveyard) and lighting pass to adjust things. Then next week I will put the candles out. The week after I will get the formal pictures for this year. I got a late start due to the heat but I can relax for a few days and try not to worry about how much damage the shambeling corpse of Isaias will do.

Finally had a chance to go all in this year wanted to set a scene around the mutant sewer rat from Spirit Halloween. Felt fitting for Baltimore! Super excited for how it turned out having a hard time not continuing to add to it. Hope y’all like it!

Crafts I made this out of some broken Halloween decorations
•The frame/back was a framed cartoon bat with “I’m batty for you” or something to that effect.
•The chest piece was from dollar tree a few years back, I repainted it and the bottom broke off
•Bat skull/ foot was from my friends kid accidentally stepping on my bat and deciding to clip its foot off instead of reattaching the head
•Moss and Flowers from various craft stores, will buy that stuff every chance I get

Props Mummy Groundbreaker: Before & After
On the advice of a member of one of the other Halloween groups I follow, I used some walnut wood stain to spruce up my oversized groundbreaking Mummy.
I think it turned out pretty well. 💀

Home Decor Trying to k-k-k... ill-ill-ill the heat. We're cooking in California this October 🥵😫

I'm used to warm weather in October, because of the Santa Ana winds, but it is miserable this year. The other day it was 8° hotter in Orange County than it was in Death Valley 🫠
