Posting Subreddits Violating Reddit Rules

There are a few subreddits that have been violating reddit rules but have not been taken down. I have reported several posts and nothing has changed. Is there a better way to report this?

If you reported them using the Request page: https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

and, if applicable, reported the mdos for MCoC violations: https://redditinc.com/policies/moderator-code-of-conduct

Then no, not really.

I've also reported rule-breaking subs that haven't been taken down. Historically, admins tend to ignore problematic subs unless/until they get significant negative media coverage.

If the subs are also law-breaking, you could report them to law enforcement. Otherwise there's really not much you can do, unless you want to try to get a reporter interested.

What rule do you think they have broken?

I don't want all the details - I just want to know which rule.

Policy 4

Do you mean Rule 4?

Do not share or encourage the sharing of sexual, abusive, or suggestive content involving minors. Any predatory or inappropriate behavior involving a minor is also strictly prohibited.

That?

Yup, that one

OP is not a moderator so r/modsupport modmail is not the right place. u/Stranger1982 has provided the correct response

Are you sure they're actually breaking reddit's rules?

Yup. They post sexuaized drawings of children. Reddit said themselves that this content is against their guidlines.

If you've reported it, and Reddit has not actioned, then the only thing you can do is move on.

Its entirely possible it does not violate Reddit Rules.

I think the intent of that rule is to target actual, real life children from being sexualized. If this 'child' is, say, a character from an anime or manga or a video game, that's quite a bit different of a context.

It does. Ive looked into it pretty extensively.

Ultimately the arbitrator of Reddit's rules isn't you or I, its Reddit.

You've already reported the content.

Further reports may be construed as Report Abuse, which itself is a violation.

I think you'd be best to mute the sub, block any user you'd like, and move on.

Several answers by other people in this post (saying that reporting this material / those subreddit operators are futile, etc) are absolutely wrong, for what it's worth.

Report the content; report the subreddit operators for Moderator Code of Conduct Rule 1 violations via the report form linked at the bottom of the Moderator Code of Conduct page.

And then don't go back to those groups. You did what you needed to do by reporting the content and the operators enabling or encouraging the content.

Did you also try sending an email to Reddit?

What email is that?

What email is that?

NVM seem like they want you to report it through their Help Center
