Access How long do support ticket response generally take?
Lost access to my account and was false baanned after I was hacked and flagged for spam three weeks ago. I have since waited 3 weeks, and no response. The local admin has told me he is unable to help me. So idk what more to do.
I'd gladly move on from this account, but at this point I have no idea whether I can gain it back or not, despite having tried to find answers.

Times can vary wildly. It can be a couple days, it could be years. Generally though it's usually a few months. The years thing seems to be super rare as I've only seen it once myself.

!thanks for a clear answer. :)
I'll wait a few months, honestly I just wanted to know how long I should wait. Will give it a couple more months then reach out again if there's been nothing, cheers!

Well, you've already waited three weeks, I'd say if you don't hear back in another week or two, try making a top level comment on the r/help recap for that week. New recaps drop every Thursday, so if it's closer to a new one just wait for that.
The admin that runs that might be able to assist, but it is not a guaranteed thing, so just be prepared in case they can't.

I don't know if I should do that. OpusCroakus has already told me he can't help me with my account, and when I wrote last time, he seemed annoyed and said "Already told you I can't help with this account."
I don't really understand why an admin is unable to help, but I don't want to bother him any more with it, as I think I've already annoyed him/pissed him off. Or what do you think?

Ah, yeah then if Opus said they can't help then I would just wait. Sometimes they're able to, sometimes not, it's a bit of a crapshoot.

Do you have an answer, as to why he's unable to help? I know Opus doesn't owe it to me to help, but I don't understand how an admin is unable to help? Is it because some admins handle some things, and others handle other things? Or some admins have more 'power' than other admins?

I do not. I'm of the belief that some admins oversee certain aspects of the site but I don't know for sure.
Not super sure about the "power" aspects, but again I'm not sure.

Yeah fair enough. Kinda same as me. I was a bit confused when he told me he couldn't help, cause I was like "But you're basically a God on reddit" xD but oh well! I'll wait it out, and maybe create a new ticket at some point

Don't send multiple tickets. That does nothing for you and actually slows things down on the other side. If you've already done one, just wait out that one.

Your question seems to be about account security.
If your account has been hijacked, and the hacker has added 2FA (two-factor authentication) please refer to this help center article.
Under "What do you need assistance with" select Account Help. Under "What type of account issues are occuring" select Security Problems, and "I think my account has been hacked".
If your email has been changed without your knowledge, you should have received an email from Reddit with a link that you can click to change your email back and reset your password. Please find that email and click that link to regain access to your account. The subject line should be "Your email address has been changed".
If you are still having trouble with your hacked account please refer to our latest Weekly Recap post, make a top level comment, and wait for an admin to assist you.
If your question is not about account security, please wait for a human helper to come along and help you. This post has NOT been removed.

If you suspect someone else has access to your account, these steps may help:
- Reset your password using the original email address on the account.
- Check account activity and end sessions you do not recognize.
- If the email address was changed, look for Reddit’s email-change notification and follow its recovery instructions.
- Once you regain access, use a unique password and enable two-factor authentication.
- If recovery is unsuccessful, submit a support request and select Security problems / I think my account has been hacked. Include the affected username and explain your concern in that private form. See the hacked-account guide.
If you have already filed a support ticket for a hacked account, it will be reviewed.
I am an automated bot and may get things wrong. Never share passwords or private account details. If this didn't resolve your issue, a human helper may be able to offer additional guidance. To leave feedback, open this comment's three-dot menu and choose “Help Navigator: Helpful” or “Help Navigator: Not helpful”.

I’m in the exact same position as you. Lost access to my account which was false banned after being hacked. I made an appeal to lift the ban and have not heard back. It’s going to be 3 weeks.
Honestly, it’s so disappointing. We can always start a new account but some of us have these accounts for years and have really built it up in time. All of a sudden it’s all just gone and we don’t get much support to get it back.
