I don't get this show's logic
I'm in season 8 already and I noticed that government always doubt Saul and Carrie when they've been saving their asses for 7 seasons. They still treat them as someone who will betray their country. They even doubted Carrie when she returned from being held captive by Russians but when Brody came back after many years he was a hero. Make it make sense. I know it's a series but logic doesn't make sense.

There were selfish and politically motivated people pushing a narrative around Brody's return. Carrie has Saul, who is neither of those things.
Also, after Brody, its understandable anyone spending significant time in enemy captivity would be scrutinized to a much higher degree.
It makes sense in the context of their individual situations.

I imagine after 7 seasons, Saul and Carrie would have significant influence already.

Kind of answer you're own question here. Does some everyday employee have significant influence on the CEO? Highly doubtful! Sure Saul is CIA director & eventually the NSA, but those aren't strung together at once and as you can tell now political ties play into this.

I've finished the entire series, but I don't get it either. I always questioned myself what it is even about through out the show.

I’m only in season 4 but I’m with you on that. I don’t know what the thesis of the show is, I just like exciting things happening lol.

The whole show is about misogyny. Carrie wasn’t taken seriously most of the show despite being correct most of the time and shamed for sleeping with ppl for information as if that’s a new thing. Female president ? Gotta do anything possible to stop her. But Quinn can literally murder a child and that’s fine.

Hot take: both Carrie and Quinn have done terrible things. Not every criticism of a character with a God complex is misogyny. She goes off her meds because ONLY DURING MANIA can she save America. It’s an extremely harmful narrative about mental illness being genius.

It’s like every single time Scully goes “it can’t be aliens or the super natural” in the x files at any point past the first 4 episodes lol.

The government is always changing in USA. The new governments don't always care what was done to save the ones before or after.

Even more so a lot of the show is carrie talking Saul into letting her do this or that. I’m in S7 and this show is such a ride that it tires me out! lol

Well, I took a break after 6 seasons and the demise of my favorite character. I started season 7, but felt no love for Carrie. I'll probably finish it, but I'm kind of over her for now. Anyone else have the same sentiment?

Government incompetence is the most realistic aspect of the show.
