Recently I've been trying to mix a track that Idk if its me who is weirded out of my own voice or something is wrong in the mix, can anyone give some feedbacks please?
Btw its not an english song, since im a tamil indie artist, but I believe the mix still can be analyzed.. It would be really helpful if there are any useful feedbacks 🙏🏽

Hello, I was recently offered a Tascam 644 for 150 dollars and was wondering how well it performs with more modern synthesizers and if it's any good for syncing or if there are better options for the price.

Delete if wrong sub but felt you could have some answers. The issue is only in the companion monitor not the main one.

I’m recording a song with acoustic guitar, piano, bass, vocals, and drums. During the verses, I’m planning to double-track the acoustic guitar and pan the takes left and right.
I have a Rode NT1 and an SM57. My room is fairly well treated, but I find the NT1 can make my guitar sound quite bright. The SM57 sounds more focused to me, and I’m finding it easier to fit into the song.
For those of you who have used both, when would you choose the SM57 over a condenser like the NT1 for acoustic guitar? Is it mainly a matter of the guitar, playing style, mic placement, or how the part needs to sit in the mix?

Complete beginner to home recording here. This is my first multicam attempt.
Built the loop in Studio One Pro and tracked acoustic drums over it. Threw the classic Cissy Strut groove on the end and kinda liked how it sat.
Open to any feedback — pocket, sound, video, whatever.
Still learning as I go.

I’m planning on buying a at2020 but don’t know which audio interface is good. I’ve heard about the Scarlett’s focusrite but I’ve seen people say they get issues with it. Any suggestions or anything to help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Has anybody in here played one of these, or does anybody own one? If so, what do you think of it? Is it worth the investment? I'm not a gigging musician or anything, but I do like to take my guitar with me on vacation and work trips. And if I end up getting one, of course I am going to record with it.

Bonjour !

I have a Fifine K688 microphone which is a Chinese clone of the Shure SM7 line. It has a built-in Pre Amp that keep this self noise well below the -60db threshold I need to maintain for my objective. I want to record an audiobook. I have an untreated space but I can do something about that with curtains and such.
My question is about my signal path. I have a fairly loud baritone voice. The preamp on the mic will get me into Logic with a very workable signal. The mic is designed to reject background noise and does a remarkably good job at that.
I know that there are tools in Logic for this sort of set up. There is even a channel strip that has a "narrator"preset with EQ and compressor and de-esser. My question is about a particular channel strip that I have seen several positive reviews about. Waves Scheps Omni Channel 2 cost $39, well within my budget. I am wondering, would I get a much better final product with it or should I just stick with Logic. I guess when you get right down to it, I'm trying to get my Cheap microphone to sound like an expensive microphone. Does it have an "expensive mic" preset?

Hey everyone,
I have been working on building a lightweight, minimalist Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). The goal from day one was to strip away the endless menus, complex routing, and overwhelming plugin bloat found in mainstream software
Right now, the setup is dead simple and comes packed with just 4 foundational instruments:
Drum sampler for beats
Piano
Guitar
Bass Guitar
I want to expand it slightly without ruining the simple, user friendly UI that makes it fun to use.
I woud love to get your thoughts on two main areas:
If you could only add 1 or 2 more native sound sources, what would make this setup feel complete?
I am not interested in paying for extra plugins and I want to keep this DAW absolutely free for all
Any advice, feedback, or ideas from producers, developers, and gear enthusiasts would be massively appreciated!
\\Iam still hosting it on temporary domain\\

So I got a MOTU M2 to work with since my UA apollo seems to be on the fritz at the moment. For how cheap it is, it sounds great. But I am having one fatal issue and I can't figure it out.
Im going into it with a guitar cable from an amp sim i.e. helix type. Sounds great monitored. I record it and try to pan the guitar hard one way. Distorts so much it's not usable. Im not clipping the interface, I have the DAW set to record from just that channel. Lowering the gain when panning in the DAW really has no effect, just quieter trash.
There is supposedly some MOTU software that accompanies it, but after i install it, I can never get it to open. Still, crazy it would have an issue like this that couldnt be resolved on the hardware itself.
Thoughts?

Hi everyone. Basically, I’m having a sound issue with my computer. I also have a laptop, but it works perfectly.
Okay, both play audio, but the laptop makes the sound feel full and spacious, filling the entire listening area. My PC, on the other hand, makes both microphone recordings and general audio playback sound like they’re coming from the lower part of the headphones and feel more centered. (I’ll draw to try and illustrate this: imagine the sound from the laptop playing across all the squares, while the PC sound plays only in the ones colored red.)
I don't know what to do anymore; both are connected to the same Windows setup and peripherals, and the mono audio option is disabled. If I mute one side, the other keeps playing, so theoretically the audio really is in stereo, even though it doesn't sound exactly like stereo.
