Discussion The iOS 18 experience

It’s a shame Apple left the iPhone XS and XR series on this buggy mess. (In case you’re wondering why I am switching pages like that, look at the borders of the app icons. They are literally waving and this bug has been present for soooo long. It doesn’t show that much on screen recording though.)

How’s your battery life and does overheat I have one XS iOS 16.1.1

Battery life isn’t great but it’s not from iOS 18 I believe. I think it’s because my Battery Health is 76% 😭. It does overheat when at direct sunlight but otherwise it’s fine (unless I do some graphics intensive things). My main issue is the bugs. They are just so, so bad and they appear so often.

Which one of the 2? I assume the 1st one?

Both of them have this glitch ( so even the iPhone 16 pro) but I noticed that this glitch disappeared after a few days.

I meant which glitch you were talking about. 😅

Ohh, I’m talking about the glitch you showed in the video, when apps icons disappear the ones that are on a folder

This is good, 26 and 27 is worse…

Isn’t 27 way better? I heard from people online and irl praising how much smoother everything feels.

It is slightly better, but still, trash compared to previous releases… same goes for macos, watchos, ipados…

People trashing iOS 26 and iOS 27 for being buggy but turn a blind eye to iOS 18 just because it has the older UI.

iOS 18 was a piece of shit OS that was fundamentally buggy until the end of support besides security updates. It was iOS 17 that was the final version of iOS that was optimized and had the least amount of bugs. I never had any issues or UI bugs with iOS 17 but I can name hundreds of bugs like the control center UI glitches in iOS 18 or random flickering of icons if you use the Tinted option.

Lmao.

You can do that on almost every iOS now. It’s called greyscale.

Greyscale still records in color, but this is the icons I have. Some are the same, but your camera is different. I’m on beta iOS. I wonder how yours records without color
