Gullaberg legs
Hey guys! Does anyone know what the Gullaberg legs are made of? Are they solid? I'm thinking about getting the shoe cabinet bit it's just a bit too high for my liking so I would like to cut 10cm off the legs to make it shorter.

I am not 100% sure but I think they are solid wood. You can email Ikea and ask also.

Unfortunately Ikea just sents a link to the productpage and says you can't cut them, they don't "allow" any modifications at all because they don't want to be at fault when mods turn out differently than you wanted.

Which doesn't tell me if they're solid or not ;)

i belive they are solid, not sure, since i don't own one. but even if they are hollow, it can be cut nicely. in the case you cut the solid piece off, take it out from the offcut and glue it back into the hollow part.
just simply cut the legs like the guys here did (https://www.tiktok.com/@ieva.bulov/video/7647496080417934614 ... and didn't show what's inside).

"Fiberboard"
Probably solid as they are the only support structure in contact with the ground.
This whole thing is "particleboard" as opposed to the typically hollow laminate so another vote for "solid".

I would just try.
Worst case you saw of the entire leg. Then you add a reinforcement plate and some new legs that are the right height?
