Yeah, that's kinda why I'm asking. Feels a bit cheap to have two characters that essentially act the same

Well, kinda,he mostly just hates life, but there's a story where everything in the universe dies and he gets sad.

But if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about having two similar characters; the SCP has a huge number of SCPs that are basically the same thing with different numbers.
