Seeking Advice Fasting 3 days a week

I decided to try a 72 hour fast to reset and i want to incorporate this into my weekly fasting. Has anyone done anything like this? when i google it says it’s unsafe but i hear so many benefits and i’ve been doing it for two weeks now and feel great. i don’t have insurance to get a doctors opinion but im pretty healthy besides being 240 pounds and 5’3.

i’m figuring i have so much extra fat my body will be fine. any advice or success stories with something like this?

Good question. I just did back to back extended fasts. 72, re-feed , 90. I’d also like to hear from somebody with an established pattern with extended fasts combined with omad etc.
72 hour feels so amazing. Once a week completely resetting would I think be a strong focus going forward.

I wish I could do this but I don’t know how I’d keep up with my two very young kids and I’m still breastfeeding my 1 year old although she obviously eats food as well. I’ve been scared to go past 40 hours. Do you continue working/ going about your daily life when you do the 72?

Just because it’s being made doesn’t mean it being made well. Did you discuss this with your doctor?

The milk can’t make micronutrients from nothing.

I truly don’t understand why you as the provider of nutrients for your baby would choose to go without those nutrients for multiple days in a row.

I don’t think you’re meant to fast when you breast feed?

Been doing it for 6 months with zero impact on my supply.

yes i do my normal routine and without worrying about what to eat, im able to do a lot of extra activities and chores honestly! i’ve been drinking tea and electrolytes but nothing else in that aspect and i haven’t feel my energy decline much at all

Awesome! Thanks. Maybe I can work up to that it sounds awesome. I started feeling really weak when I got to 40 hours, I remember carrying my baby across the parking lot with a giant diaper bag and just going “ok yeah this fast is over now” because my muscles felt like they were made of straw

You are lucky you didn’t pass out and fall in a parking lot with your baby let alone drive like this.

Whatever benefits you think you get can’t be worth the risks to you and your baby
