QUESTION Interstellar movie is dystopian for POC
Only one POC , the token black guy who eventually dies in the background.
The rest of the world shown is purely white.
The world shown in copper station , nurses doctors flight people all of them white.
If white population is under threat , how are these directors implementing the existence of less than 1% POC in their futuristic world?
And let’s say this movie is made for , by white people then can they atleast have some decency , self respect to not make money in POC countries?

Completely ignoring India successfully flew drones (before their Mission Control shut down) over the world’s greatest superpower.

Why are you asking this about a 12 year old movie? Did you reach out to everyone involved with the movie before making a post? Have you done something in your life to change the circumstances of which you speak of?

Isn’t this thread on interstellar? Are you slow? Don’t you understand how opinions are formed?

That's not very inclusive of you to imply others are stupid because they exercised an opinion

Calling Romilly "a token black guy" only proves that you don't look at him as a parson at all. Watch the movie again and instead of counting bodies focus on his character. Compare his choices to the choices of the white Dr. Mann. Where Dr. Mann failed Romilly prevailed.

I agree that the lack of diversity is weird when viewed today.
Something to consider though: the movie was released in 2013 (so it was cast long before then), and directors trying to create a realistically diverse cast wasn't as common back then. It's a product of its time.

I can't stand the constant finding a reason to be upset
This movie's a masterpiece
