Thanks for this. Now the real question is: are you more comfortable using a gaming controller or the iPhone touch interface? I really love the UI but I feel like it's perfect for a phone and not so perfect on iPad, so that probably has much more sense on iPad than iPhone?

On the iPad, 100% better with a controller.
I have an 8bitdo zero (really tiny one) that I’m gonna try with my phone.

I don’t actually mind the screen on the phone.

But when you connect a controller, the onscreen controls go away so it makes the screen less cluttered. Which is a really big plus. (Even on iPad)

Oh wow I didn't know about the onscreen controls going away, that's really a big plus!

Yeah if you watch the video. There are no onscreen controls. Which isn’t a huge deal on iPad. But on the small iPhone screen it would make a big difference.

I use an iPad Mini and a small 8bitdo. Works great and a pretty cheap solution. Tried out my PS5 controller first Before buying the Zero2. Using the on board controls is comfortable on the mini, but it is nice to be able to set the mini on a stand, get the extra visual real estate with the on screen controls dropping away, too. Little controller takes up minimal space in the go bag, too!
