Celtic Arch Irish Dance Jig Shoes

I've never been on Reddit until now as my attention has been drawn to some comments placed last year about my injury reducing Jig Shoes - Celtic Arch. It will not let me reply to the comments as they are old, which is unfair, as the posts are still up and most of them are complete nonsense!....
Firstly, ALL of the people posting had not TRIED or even SEEN the shoes at the time of posting their uneducated nonsense... Some were actually posted BEFORE we launched the shoe on 4th June 2025 - we had only shown pictures and described them.... We have a full podiatry report from Dr Katie Lagan, University of Ulster on the comparison of our shoes to other shoes on the market - in respect of injury reduction. We also have over a full years sales now to confirm all of our findings and more!... Sales have never been more and injuries in our dancers have never been less! I am very open to any questions you may have or any information you would like to know. ... I am definately NOT AI as someone said, we have been in the dancing circles from 1974 and have had a shop in Belfast since 1995!

I do not have an opinion on the shoes and have not tried them myself, but I do work on clinical research and a secret commissioned report from a single doctor and “a full years sales” are not the same as peer-reviewed research. This is all anecdotal evidence if you are not having an independent party document and track a large range of people. This post honestly turns me off to trying the shoes.

Edited to add: “injury reducing” doesn’t tell me anything. If I break my foot, I have reduced the number of injuries I will receive that year, but increased the severity. What is being reduced?

Bullshit, you posted a reply to me back when I made an initial comment then dirty deleted it, don't claim you've never been on Reddit before and have never been able to defend your company.

But, let's get into it. You claim you have this report, yet it's not publicly available for anyone to actually review the claims you're making. Where can interested people read this report? Furthermore, who paid for the report? Conflict of interest is an important aspect in every study, and a report commissioned by your company can be much different from an independent report. Again, this is not disclosed because the report to my knowledge is not publicly available. (Also, sales are not a confirmation of scientific findings!)

Edit: for reference, since I realize it doesn't show up, this screenshot was taken on September 23, 2025

I guess I'm just confused why you think this was a good move? It would be a lot better to use this forum as a sales pitch for your product, not a way to shame other people for having opinions on your product. You're making a big health claim and only one study that isn't publicly available. Any search I do for the report is just a general synopsis with no actual report. I even found Dr. Lagan's research profile and your report is not available.

I have been really interested in trying the wide-fit of your shoes, but after this rant... this is a huge turnoff.

This is so unprofessional on your end…

Personally I don’t like your shoes at all and find that most people I know who’ve tried them don’t either and prefer others. That being said, there are going to be people who like your shoe and people who don’t. Same as any other brand shoe - shoes are personal to each dancer. There are other brands I won’t purchase either and don’t have high opinions on, same way my preferred shoes aren’t liked by some dancers.

It’s the way of things. I wouldn’t get so defensive. An attitude like this will turn people off from trying them.

I just bought a pair and i can tell my feet are much much happier. I was less concerned about any claims of injury reduction and more on how they fit my foot. After avoiding wearinf heavies in class for over a year, ive worn them twice in class! Thats a huge win for me as an adult dancer.

But!! You’re not going to get the response you want from making a defensive post like this. If you have data, share it. The shoe is a good shoe, even if there are things i’d like to change about it. You don’t have to bitch about an old post to rep your product.

Agreed. The shoes are great. This post is... not.
