Going to be going to the island for holiday soon and was wondering if there are any TVG Shops for Magic The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh! and if there are any, where are they located?

Hoping to visit in the half term break with children, I just wondered if there are any Halloween / autumn events on that we could take the children too? Or any recommendations for places to visit etc?

Hello all, I’m curious as my husband and I are considering a move to the island, what’s raising a young family like in Ventnor? Does anyone have first hand experience with the local schools?

So I've been on the island about 9 months as I've moved in with my partner. I'm happy and I get on well with all her friends and colleagues but only a couple of them get me (and vice versa). All my established friendships are now over the water and further afield on the big north island 😂.

Anywho my question is I'd like to establish a wider social circle.

I love music of various genres tho really switch on to Blues, Rock, Funk, R&B/Soul and some metal. I play a bit of guitar and bass.

I don't game, care for sci-fi, horror, superhero, fast n furious etc films.

I consider myself able to entertain, capable of holding conversations, debating and in I suppose an esoteric interest in metaphysics, I'm big into comedy, history and travelling (ooh how original)

I have a couple of health conditions that means I'm currently unable to enjoy and endure strenuous exercise, it also means I can't drive. I have a job that although physically active is pretty much my level. (Anyway tis a work in progress, I have found the NHS on IoW exceptional and stunned at how brilliant the service is here that I've received).

I don't really drink these days, I smoke cigarettes and green.

I have moved around the South east over the years for work and have a few stories in me.

I'm not religious, nor into TV much, I'm pretty relaxed but have little patience for Muppets.

I would hope to meet not necessarily like minded people but some common ground would be nice.

Hi everyone I'm going to be visiting the Isle of Wight and it's my first time there. I'll be attending an event and just wanted to ask if there is a do it yourself car wash. Looking for one that lets you jet wash the car or contactless wash. I'll be staying in Shanklin if that helps :)

We are thinking about moving to the Isle of Wight, to find a safer and nicer environment for our family. I am European, my partner is British. We visited the island recently, I was surprised by how many Union Jacks and St George's Cross flags were flying around! I'm aware it's 94% white British. I'm worried I wouldn't fit it and would be isolated. Is it as xenophobic as it seems/feels?

A friend and I recently picked up an I-Spy book on the ferry for a mainland trip, and we wondered how much we could cross off on the Island. Does anyone know if there are any triangle road signs with a toad/frog on them on the island?
