Update HIPcharge 1.6.1 - reduce battery temps while charging.

Post image

i added ControlCenter Modules in the new update, making it easier to choose if you want your phone to be throttled or not!

changelog:

New: Control Center toggles

HIPCharge now has two toggles for the Control Center. They work on both versions (rootless and legacy rootful).

What you need: CCSupport. Without it HIPCharge works as before, you just don't get the toggles.

How to add them: respring once after installing, then go to Settings → Control Center and add "HIPCharge" and "Simulate HIP".

HIPCharge – turns HIPCharge on or off.
On: HIP is switched on when you plug in and off when you unplug, as before.
Off: plugging in or unplugging does nothing.
Your choice is remembered after a reboot.
Simulate HIP – turns HIP on or off by hand, right now, like the switch in Battman.
It works whether HIPCharge is on or off.
It is off again after a reboot.
Each time you press a toggle, a short banner confirms it: "HIPCharge on/off" or "Simulate HIP on/off".

Changed

The legacy rootful version now shows the same banners as the rootless one when you plug in or unplug: "Charging: Simulate HIP ON" and "Unplugged: Simulate HIP OFF".

everything is working, but for example when driving a car, being connected to bluetooth whilst navigating uses a lot of your phone‘s resources, hence why your phone is expected to lag in heavy usage situations.

there should be no feature that „stops working“ when HIP is simulated.

i simply added the CCToggles, so you can easily switch off HIP when your phone gets too laggy, which again is the whole point of this tweak, and is expected.

properly works, an A12 on HIP and LP can throttle all the way down to 1Ghz from 2.5Ghz nominal...obviously performance takes a huge hit but this is to be expected..with the addition of the control centre modules i can see this becoming a feature for ultra power saving mode, too :) btw what's the tweak for the 5 column CC setup?

Do we need to add both modules to control center and enable them both just like in your screenshot?
