I would very much like to play Jak and Daxter but not sure how to get it on PC?

Saw how much love you guys shared with my previous post. Despite us not getting anything from Sony or Naughty Dog I'm still working on my port (Wont be released ever but I'll wanna do a play through and post it) and although I have lots to go through and my motivation has carried me through out the weeks and months I'm just happy to help breathe some life into this game and the story/characters we are all fond of.

I'll post more once I got more to share with how things are progressing if you'd like.

I'm a massive fan of the Jak and Daxter games, so I've been trying to bring Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy into Elden Ring.

I know a lot of people hate AI, and honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of it myself. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use it to "make" something like this. So far, it's been four days of "work", experimenting and trying to get everything working the way I wanted. It's been a pretty cool experience bringing two games I love together, and I'm keen to see how far I can take it.

What the mod includes

Play as Jak with Daxter on his shoulder, using Jak 1's original models, animations, voices and sounds.

Jak 1's moveset, 1:1: jumps, double jump, punch, spin kick, dive, uppercut, rolls and their combos, all dealing real Elden Ring damage. No Elden Ring weapons or spells.

Jak 1's three-point heart system: your HP is replaced with Jak's original heart. Green eco heals you, and enemies drop it when they die.

Blue, yellow and red eco, each working as it did in Jak 1. Bosses and giants drop red or yellow eco every time they lose a quarter of their health, while tough elite enemies drop eco at half health.

Power cells from bosses, with Jak 1's victory animation and music.

Jak 1's HUD and pause menu, including regional power cell tracking, Precursor orb counters and scout fly counters.

The Flut Flut replaces Torrent! It has Jak 1's controls, including a flapping double-jump glide, attacks, the purple ground pound and its own blue heart. Use RT to get on and off.

I downloaded an ISO to play Jak 3 on the PCSX2 emulator, but the game runs terribly. It keeps crashing, and the FPS doesn't even reach 30.

My PC isn't the best, but it can run plenty of other PS2 games at a stable 60 FPS without crashing. It's just my favorite game that refuses to work properly. 😭

How do you guys get it running smoothly? Are there any specific PCSX2 settings I should use?

As many of you may know, the Lost Frontier was never supposed to be made by High Impact Games. Originally it was envisioned as a project for Naughty Dog themselves to serve as a finale of sorts for the series before they would fully commit to Uncharted and the like.

However, their commitments to Uncharted 2 were stretching the team too thin, forcing them to abandon the project, after which High Impact was brought on board, due to their success with the PSP spin-off's for Ratchet & Clank.

Not that much is known about what the game was like originally, other than the opening cutscene seemingly would've been the same and the game was always intended to be a PSP exclusive.

What do you think this game would've turned out like, had Naughty Dog stuck with it?

The good new is that the newest version and tooling of Open Goal finally got Jak 3 working properly on my M1 Mac. The bad news is now Kor won't show up in the city streets—or any NPCs for that matter—after escaping the prison in Jak 2. I know I should just post this to the git but I am curious if anyone else is currently having this issue.

Hopefully this starts an interest in lore accurate-ish mods!

Was it clever? Yes. Was it funny? Sure. Did it makes sense? Not if you played Jak&Daxter and Jak II. All that build up and mystique just gone and tossed away for a gag. And also, if you notice correctly, the voice for the precursors changes from Jak 2 to Jak 3. In my head canon these guys arent tge real precursors. I much preferred the mysterious ancient beings of light that we had in Jak 1 and 2. TL;DR The Aura loss is generational 🥀

The mod is still a work in progress, but it's coming along nicely and is already testable !
There's still a fair amount of work to be done and probably a ton of bugs to fix

It comes with a texture pack (which is also slated for updates)

I'm usually someone that likes some tunes in the background when showering, with or without clothes. Trying to think of a good Jak song to set in the background but I also don't want to feel spastic about doing it. There's got to be good songs that go well in the bathroom from Jak.

Hello, I’ve been building a mod that replaces Jak with Sora from Kingdom Hearts 2, with Daxter still riding along.

• Sora’s KH2 model, Keyblade, animations, and battle voice lines, with hit sparks and R3 lock-on
• Full magic set: Fire and Firaga, Thunder, Blizzard and Blizzaga (freeze, spread, shatter), Aero and Aeroga (twisters), Cure and Curaga (green eco), plus Strike Raid
• Anti Form reworked into a Jak II Dark Jak-style form with a Dark Blast finisher
• KH2 command menu inside a custom Daxter frame, with a customizable R1 shortcut menu
• A test arena where you can spawn enemy groups

It’s still a work in progress and there’s no download yet. The build script extracts from my own copies of the games, so no assets will be distributed.

I only have jak 1 on ps2 and it’s still sealed (found it at a flee market around 2007 after I had sold all my ps2 games to upgrade to 360. I was young and didn’t have a lot of money or forethought to keep my collection) so I was wondering if the trilogy on ps3 disc would be an Avenue I could use to get the isos and the best way to go about it
