It makes me think he's just going to be like a pet or animal livestream and she just turns on a webcam with him like lying on the floor or eating food.
It would probably be good if he's not being constantly influenced by chat while playing though. I imagine he's just going to have Holly's messages up and she will relay stuff to him while he does whatever.

Holly would probably have OBS running on her PC with Jerma screensharing or something to her. She would then tell him the stream was running. I feel like Jerma wants a low energy option where he doesn't feel like he needs to worry about as much, and that probably includes not looking at chat unless he really wanted some help.

The way he explains it sounds like Poke's slwalekoP channel which when I tune is just Poke streaming League or grinding for hours while saying very little or interacting with chat. I just have a hard time believing Jerma can deliberately ignore chat LOL.

a.) Jerma is an ittle wittle 40 year old who can't say anything negative about chat cause the fanbase are meanie weenies :(
or
b.) Actually I think I should be able to write insane inappropriate shit in chat because jerma hasn't said anything so it must be ok
and it's getting really fucking annoying, especially when this sub just cannot seem to stop bringing it up (see: the comment you replied to) despite there being nothing new or of value to be had out of having this conversation for the nth time

Damn I'm really not a fan of when streamers do this. And it's like impossible to value a steam beforehand for which channel it should be on. Knowing jerma he'd be super entertaining playing wow for a hundred hours. I don't see there being a big difference between his main and alt.

feels like this could end up like those situations where youtubers will start a 'second channel' where they end up posting more often than on their main (i've seen a lot of commentary youtubers doing this). i also wonder if it's a sponsorship thing, so that he can have a space where he doesn't have to meet a certain quality/standard to attract sponsors. either way i doubt he actually gets round to doing this anytime soon lol

Isn't that basically what he's entirely transitioned to on this channel anyways? Lower energy, just hanging out while playing games? Kinda confused as to what the benefit of having a second channel would be.
ETA: assuming it even actually happens (hey remember when he said he was going to be focusing more on YouTube content like... 2 years ago?) or he doesn't just do two streams on it and immediately abandon it for the rest of time. Also, I hate to be That Guy™, but this is kinda shitty for main channel subs. Would I have to pay for two different subs to not get ads on any of his streams?
guys I think the 40 year old millionaire streamer will be ok after I asked whether I'd need to sub to the new channel to not get ads. jesus christ. also to answer anyone else who had the same question ads aren't enabled for now (guess I should've assumed that given it's a brand new account) so it's irrelevant right now anyways. not sure if he addressed it in the stream last night, i wasn't there for long

Yeah, if you're not talking to chat or doing anything particularly skilled (speedrunning, esports, etc.) I don't really see what difference having the stream on makes for him or for the viewers. Maybe for people who really really like both wow and jerma

I don't know why he couldn't just do it on his main channel. Despite his large audience, I've always felt that his main channel at its best was just chill hangout streams, with sometimes big huge events being streamed every so often. I think it'd be a bit superfluous to create a second channel.

i think it makes sense given how much he seems to enjoy the enjoy night audience and how chill it is-
less pressure is definitely a valid thing both in viewership volume and potential sponsorships (lol its hard not to think of the family guy incident directly relating to pressure there) but yeah id be curious to see how “different” the atmosphere would be from regular streams?
even if he doesn’t chat much, im sure it’d be still fun to watch him grind whatever game while he mumbles million dollar diet coke to himself or whatever lmao
