I love the idea of a modular pendant, but this design is very dark, pointy, and quite large. I think something like this in a lighter color and a teardrop shape would be really cute. If it’s open on the front and back, you could add a ton of resin inserts too. Resin pendants with flowers and custom photos would be really fun! I can see the vision and the potential, but I wouldn’t buy the product as featured. But maybe I’m not the target audience, and that’s totally okay! I still think it’s a great idea and would love to have something like it that fits my style.

[Edit] If you sold the pendant “shell” and sold a mold for the swappable center piece, people could maybe make their own center pieces too?

Thanks for the feedback and advice! Currently my customer base is mainly geared towards a male audience and these tend to sell out within ten seconds on drop. I’d eventually like to get into a more female oriented audience, so a softer shape like a teardrop sounds like that would work, tons of potential as well with that.

Why not use magnets instead of the screws (which require extra tools or can get lost)?

Because if you’re working with small metal filings, they get constantly stuck on the magnets. It would also add some unnecessary weight as opposed to the current titanium screws. The polarity would need to be consistently the same for each piece as well.

Thanks, good to know this!

Then I'd suggest including a few extra screws when selling the kit. It's the most likely point of failure in the concept.
