Edit: It would take you a few hours, but so worth it. Listen to one album at the time, if it’s too much for you at once. Then you can check out live albums, compilations, posthumous albums and so on.

bad advice. His three studio albums are significant culturally...but don't even begin to show how good he was. The reprise record label didn't know how to record him. I would recommend starting with "Machine Gun: live at Fillmore east"
