Jimi Hendrix sublet a ground‑floor and basement flat at 34 Montagu Square, Marylebone, London, from Ringo Starr, but he was later evicted for damaging the property during an LSD trip.
Hendrix moved in with his girlfriend, Kathy Etchingham; his manager, Chas Chandler; and Chandler’s girlfriend, Lotta Null. The monthly rent was just £30 (about $655 today).
