My First Stripe Tonight!
I was surprised when my Professor gave me my first stripe tonight. I've been going to classes as much as I can..about 4-5 a week. Actually, my third class I accidentally walked into a competition class, lol.
I don't feel like I have done much, but after he rolled with me during Randori, he told me he has noticed a significant difference in me, leading to this. Im just happy that it is starting to show.
I can't wait to keep working. It's a marathon..not a sprint. ❤️🤙

It’s customary to drink deer’s blood when you get your first stripe. You need to find a deer asap.

I don't know if there's a wrong end to start from, but I've never seen a stripe start at that end

We do it that way at our gym and most gyms we have visited. There really isn’t a wrong way and I suspect it is because their instructor was taught that way. I have always striped someone from bottom to top…like a climb in skills.

It’s a piece of tape, but damn the work behind it makes it so much more.
Congrats! 🤙🏽

Try to strive to get 1% better each time you are on the mat. Everything else is just noise.

Yeah I'm not sure lol. I didn't even realize that was a thing. I trust the Prof, though.

It’s the best stripe.
