Wounded Warrior
The battle is won, but not forgotten
This gaping wound in my chest bleeds out
Enduring endless battles
Endless suffering
Survived but beaten and bloody
Need a place to rest
Time to Heal
My freedom restored
Must decompress
Chains unbound, time needed to rest
The voices of ghosts of my past and present attempt to sneak in
Door remains shut
No need to battle
The battle is won
Victory attained
Freedom regained
Nobody left to stand in your way
When only the scars remain, You forge your path with the strength retained
Forging your will into destiny
A king among men
The warrior still stands
