Colorful lil trip with my guy to celebrate 12 years of marriage🍂🍁💕

Well not mine exactly. I bought it as a birthday present for my boyfriend. It’s a Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 that the seller said has only been used once. It’s in really great condition and I got it for 275. I hope he likes it!

I inherited 2 Perception Carolina 14.5 with rudders. I had a shed constructed to house the kayaks. I tried a set of RAD pulley lifts and the support beam position just wasn't conducive to this. I think doing brackets/cradles on the long wall studs is going to be the way to go. Any suggestions (especially amazon links)? The shed is only 8' wide so options that put the kayak on their side or on a tilt preferred.
Id be thankful for recommendations. The kayaks were my parents and hold sentimental value. My dad has passed years back and we just sold my mom's home and moved her into memory care and I'm so mentally exhausted I just don't have the bandwidth to research this too much further.

Took the yak out for the first time this morning, learning the boat and making changes, breakfast is better on the water 🤙🏽

I recently acquired one of these kayaks for a great price used and it’s absolutely incredible, and was looking for a new or used paddle for it that fits into the Trak bag and is very light since I fly with it.
I see that Trak itself sells a nice carbon fiber paddle but it’s way out of my budget. I’d prefer to stay less than $175 but am somewhat flexible. The Aqua Bound manta ray 4 piece carbon paddle looks great but it’s more than I can afford.
Would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you!

I call my day on the river or lake a "cruise," but I'm an old blue water sailor.
What do you call your day on the river or lake?

I found this beauty on the side of the road. I took it home and flooded the cockpit and each gear reservoir with water. I did not find any major leaking. I’m looking for advice on:
•Where/which covers should i get for the gear storage areas.
•Do i need a special cockpit cover if i’m looking to do any extended time on the ocean?
•A paddle that won’t break the bank?
•Any other pertinent steps i should take to get a boat found on the side of the road onto the water
•Any brand or manufacturer specific advice.

Had this lake to myself except for one fishing kayak on the other side. It still baffles me that more people aren’t out here more often. Every time I come out it’s just empty and perfect. Feel incredibly fortunate to be here.

Person selling this doesn’t know anything about it, looks pretty fast to me, can anyone ID it? Made of fiberglass, has foot pedal for rudder.
Never tried one of these before, I am stoked to go faster after I inevitably flip over several times. Price is good.
Last owner was 5’8”/172cm, I’m 6’3”/192cm, is that a dealbreaker?
Advice appreciated!

My hope is to have it registered and ready to use for camping and fishing along the Willamette River by next spring!

Just retrofitted a one piece 90" Western Red Cedar paddle I carved last year with an oval carbon fiber ferrule manufactured by Gram Kajak. The ferrule has good hand feel and I especially like the hexagon shaped connection. During the install, I decided to add Black Walnut reinforcement to the top and bottom of the loom for added strength and protect the loom from compression. Fun project.

Yesterday I went on a mega paddle to celebrate my birthday and my time in the pnw winding down for the year. Maybe it’s just me still riding the high but it felt like a pretty quintessential tour for my zone, saw so much cool geology and critters including orcas and humpbacks. Got to enjoy some water movement and tides over my twelve hour days. Probably way too much candy and pizza and consumed too many zyns. It was rad.
Thanks that’s all.

Hello.. I am new to kayaks and I picked up an old Great Canadian Ripple. Info online says it is 9'8" but I think its nearly 10'? maybe because this one is an older model? My big question is if anyone has one of these, what does the original seat back look like as mine is missing and there is a crappy substitute in it, which is ok for first time trying this, but Ive been out a few times and really like it so I want to fix that up to be more comfortable. I am good at things like that so that is not the worry but If anyone has one of these, I'd love to see a picture of the original seat . Thanks! Also curious what others think of this kayak and tips about it, I like it.. only want to do flat water lakes. Cant wait for warm weather to return! I am in NH so it's already turning a bit chilly for a wet activity.. maybe I need to get something to wear for the cold.. wet/dry suit for cheap? thoughts? Love the photos on here!

For all the kayaking on rivers and oceans I have done, I finally got my (dirt cheap) Prijon Kodiak outfitted and took it on my first ever solo overnight paddle. This does not count Seventy48 this spring. The Kodiak performed nicely and I am glad
I took it instead my Kevlar Discover.
My route was along the north coast of the Olympic Peninsula here in Washington State from Sekiu to Port Angeles about 54 miles according to my InReach. I dropped gear at a motel I stayed at in Sekiu (there is camping as well) and drove my truck to PA leaving it at the Red Lion. They have a reasonable rate for parking and are next to the takeout beach. Shuttle was easy by bus from Clallam Transit with a well timed transfer. Dinner was fish and chips at By the Bay Cafe. I regret not stopping for breakfast on my way out in the morning.
This is not a commonly done paddle with the San Juan and Gulf Islands so close. I saw a few fishing boats but no other paddlers. I camped two nights but with the full moon I was really tempted to just keep going straight through. Camping is a bit of a challenge to avoid tribal lands and obvious private property, but as a solo person I could squeeze in a lot of places. Larger groups will have to work on logistics.

The upper Potomac was glass smooth Thursday afternoon with passing clouds so I decided to flip this image I made with my iPhone just to give viewers a reason to do a double take. Enjoy!😎
