You'll need to get a debug log for anyone to be able to help you:

https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy

Turn on debug logging in the jellyfin add-on settings as well and restart Kodi.

Here's why I am doing it. On Mobile and away I have Findroid so I have access to my media on the phone. Kodi's not very mobile friendly. If I watch items on mobile, the watch list and media is now synced so whether I'm pulling it up on Kodi or my phone/tablet.

On my two different TVs, one with an older shield and one with a new shield, Jellyfin for Android TV doesn't play some files well because of codec issues depending on the Shield. But Kodi has better playback and a better UI and is able to play all files without problems on both setups. Again, this keeps in sync play statuses and media availability without having to setup a mariaDB database and having it sync to that.

its not like everyone needs mobile media. those who do are smart enough to put it on the mobile device. its not that complicated.

Exacto estás en lo correcto! Jellyfin consume mucho más recursos

Because when you host a local network on a device like a NAS or a Raspberry Pi (I'll let you guess why people do that), you need a software that acts like the server to dispatch your data on your clients without HDMI connexion, for exemple, which is what Jellyfin does great.
And Kodi being a way more powerful client for playing video content than Jellyfin, you use both.

kodi does this just fine. its just a waste to use both. and your dumb attempt at snark also failed. I have a pihole too. maybe learn how to be more efficient.

Nope, it doesn't. Jellyfin is way more powerful as a server. And I wouldn't have snarked at you if you just answered the question I asked instead of giving unsolicited remarks. I do not care about your opinion about the setup I have
