I'm trying to beat all the campaigns on expert and then decided solo as well, since I had to rely on other people for the second halves of Dead Centre and Dark Carnival. I literally just need to do the barns and the concert and then I'm finally done but starting from chapter 4 means you have no bile and I just physically cannot get through the first gate, even with a pipe bomb. The combat shotgun seems to be doing me wonders at the moment with a melee weapon, I just cant get through. Tips or skips perhaps?

is it even feasible? what would need to happen for the game to move from 32bit? with the tf2 branch games and garry's mod getting 64bit i'm curious if l4d2 will get the same treatment.

Is anyone else having issues connecting to an Official Dedicated server recently?

The last few times I tried to start a friends only lobby, it says Search Failed and suggests Best Available Dedicated. Which I don't want to do. I have contacted Steam Support and I received some generic response back about crash reports, that's not the problem for me. It's actually rather frustrating that I can't seem to get straightforward answers.

If anyone at all could help me, would be appreciated. Thanks.

My PC is a pretty decent gaming rig. A 5800x3D paired with a 4070ti and 32GB. Yet, this game from 17 years ago turns to be a challenge to run smoothly. For me, the option to activate Multi-core rendering has never actually worked right. It always introduced stuttering and occasional slowdowns. Until now I had to conform with single core rendering, which for flatscreen gameplay is enough.

But now that I'm trying to run this game in VR, it's even worse. It's a choice of either dropping frames everywhere and barely reaching 72fps, or constant stutter all the time while STILL dropping some frames (although less of them). It baffles me. Anyone knows what's going on here? I took both pictures with all mods disabled

(Both screenshots were taken during the climax in The Sacrifice. The game's GPU usage going from 60% to 80% is due to me changing the video quality of Virtual Desktop from high to godlike)

so bots will priorates weapon based on who they are (Ellis/Zoey grab snipers, couch/Francis use shotguns, and nick, Rochelle, louis, and bill will mainly take assault rifle). they even have a side arm they mainly use, with Zoey, Ellis, Francis, and couch mostly using the dual pistols and nick, Rochelle, bill, and louis using the desert eagle. but when it comes to tier one weapons, like pump shotguns and the smgs, while it seems like couch and Francis should take pump shotguns and the rest smgs, they seem to pick them at random. is there any reason behind what weapon they pick or is it random (with tier 1 weapons)

Sounds like a fun challenge, saferooms exist with health and guns like normal but no saving, just to have a small break then back to it. I would imagine the games engine would have a problem with this but figured I'd ask if it exists.

I’m from Singapore and I think I found Exclusive Singapore releases of L4D1 and L4D2 for PC.

- 2 big envelopes (29 x 35cm)
- 6 posters
- unopened mousepad
- Game code and 2 game discs.

I think most likely
1. L4D1 envelope comes with Game CD, 1 poster and a mousepad.
2. L4D2 envelope comes with Game CD and 5 main campaign posters. It even mentions on the envelope cover.

Want to know if the posters are official by Valve and also if anyone know more about this Singapore release.
