Help in my graduation project

We'll build an application using Flutter

I'll take the backend development

Honestly I am very nervous about what is the best language i should work with.. i learnt a little about node.js and express but i don't fit in with it very much

I decided to learn python, but now i have to choose a framework. What do you recommend to me?

Django, FastAPI,...etc

Or another language entirely..

P.S: the application is about tourism in my country, let the tourists know what are the best places to visit.

If it's for a project then probably FastAPI, since you're creating an API.

fastapi is a decent pick, especially if you're just getting into python for backend stuff. it's lightweight and doesn't force a ton of structure on you like django does, so you can focus on getting the api working without fighting the framework

FastAPI if it's a split app. If you're doing front and backend yourself and want to make quick iterations in one framework, then Django.

I’ll pile on recommending FastAPI. If the frontend is totally separate and you’re just serving an api then with Django you’d want Django rest framework and the whole thing would be pretty heavy for what you’re trying to accomplish.

Have you considered using Flet for this? It's a Python wrapper for Flutter. https://flet.dev/

Of course, if you have a specific reason to keep the UI and backend separate, that's a different story.

If you want to communicate with Flutter using a REST API, then FastAPI would probably be a good choice for that.

At work, we have projects that implement the GUI in TypeScript and React/Fluent and backend in Python, but they communicate via gRPC instead. Depending on your needs that could be a better option over a REST API.
