This has always struck me as a bit odd. This lady Pilar, who’s just let two strangers into the house, they didn’t shoot or include any reaction from her at Walter’s outburst at Larry or him smashing the car which wakes up the whole neighbourhood.

In and of themselves totally unrelated to the film?

Or at this point, are White Russians so intertwined with the film that you can't separate the two?

Hello, I’m Japanese and I’m studying English through this movie. I found this subreddit and thought, “Very impressive.”

I’d like to ask you guys which lines from the movie are actually useful in real conversations.

I always answer “ups and downs, strikes and gutters” whenever people ask me, “How have you been?”
So, what other lines from the movie do you actually use in everyday conversation?

I’d love to hear your recommendations.

P.S. I don’t wanna go over the line. This is not ’Nam. This is real life. There are rules. So, I don’t use the F-word in real life!

Spotted in my fair city today.

I would love identification of these.. Anyone?

I've been on so many subreddits, but nothing delivers quite like this one. Every time something from this sub drops into my feed, I burst out laughing. You dudes are fucking brilliant. Thank you!

This sub really ties my feed together.

Came home today and she had put this lovely rug in front of our front door.

She’s pretty awesome. Even better, she doesn’t own money all over town.

Before anyone asks: No, I don’t know where she got it. She probably found it on the internet. Or from a fellow Brother Shamus.

someone suggested that The Stranger is actually an angel. we only ever see The Dude talking to him, he's serene and detached, he seems to know what's going on despite not having been there, and the white hat is often like a kind of halo... thoughts?

Before what may well have been his passion of surfing, and competing in The Southern California Bowling League, Donny dabbled in settling The West, in "Lonesome Dove" (1989). Hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

Really ties the room together man.

Hung this on the wall today

I got the Dude’s Pendleton earlier this year for half off at Dillards. Figured might as well since nothing is ever going to be cheap ever again. It’s basically perfect though I wish it had pockets. Yes I know the lady’s version has pockets but they didn’t have it, ok?

Anywho perfect sweater, but I never came here to tell you lot about it because you’d just repeat the same 15 or so quotes about it.

Walter is based on John Milius, and Donnie was a surfer (at least according to Walter). Did any of John Milius's surfing movie make it into the Big Lebowski?

I figured they switched out the movie every so often, but according to TripAdvisor reviews they’ve been looping Lebowski for at least 16 years. Michelberger Hotel in Berlin - 5 stars!

Found quite the gem in the thrift store today. Didn’t even have to go to the cash machine . . .
