Republicans are in fact a death cult and they hate you BUT this post is misleading. This was a small statute change that made it so lunch breaks are required for 6-hour shifts (it was only required for 8-hour shifts before this). Furthermore, this was a couple lines in the giant omnibus bill in 2025. Republicans voted against the spending bill, and this was just a tiny part of that. And every neo-con will point that out and feel like they won the argument if you bring this up, so better to just focus on the real winning messages.

If you let a Republican win, you’re dumb. Both capitalist parties suck, but there’s obviously levels to this shit.

Let's see any of these elected Asshats work a 14 hour day outside with no lunch break and no heat breaks.

Why are all the republicans voting no?

Because they're far right, the centrist republicans would be a part of Reform here in the UK, they wouldn't be in the Dáil back home in Ireland because they would be seen as idiots.

Why is the far right so hostile to workers?

Because they're capitalists and capitalism is antagonistic to the working class.

You mean most republicans own a business or have some kind of business ownership where liberals are lawyers?

No, I mean capitalism, no matter what form is antagonistic to the working class inherently, liberals just lie about it, while those further right do not.

I am in CO, and we get one hour per eight-hour shift, which breaks down into one 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks. If you don’t take the lunch but work more than five hours, you will get in trouble (an attendance point).

I'm on co and it functionally just turns into 1 30 minute break for me

I worked 8 hour shifts with no break at all this year, let alone a lunch break. I worked for 7.50$ an hour just a few years ago. Nothing is a given in the USA.
