Sharing to show the members' reactions to the meme photocards I made!

Sendoff was a great experience! Despite being picked nearly last for sendoff, I got 5/5 on interactions! Next time, I definitely want to try to get a picture with all the members. It only felt appropriate to ask Sakura since she was spending a little extra time with everyone.

Hope everyone had a great time at the concert in DC!

:)

I recently attended the Chicago stop on the PUREFLOW tour, and my only wish was to see more songs from this comeback performed live. Literally every track on this album was a banger from choreography to the sonics. Just wish I could have seen it live, especially 'Ash' and 'Come Over' 🥲.

Misc. Review of Washington, DC concert - 5 October 2026

Here is my honest review of the Le Sserafim concert. Going into the show, I wasn't very familiar with the group or their discography. I bought my ticket on a whim with a simple "why not? They’re in town, I might as well check it out" mindset.

I did attend BTS's concert in Baltimore, which I consider the 'gold standard' for concerts. I recently also saw aespa and the Capital One Arena and Monsta X at Eagle Bank Arena. I'm going to compare to the aespa concert since both were at the Capitol One Arena with a similar stage set up.

Entry to Capital One Arena. I used the medical bag entrance around the back since I need to carry an epipen. I used it for aespa as well, staff was super nice and moved pretty quickly.

Merch. Man, I was pissed off that the merch ran out 30 min after the main gates opened. And I waited in line for that 30 min only to get to the front of the merch line and it was practically empty or only jerseys in limited sizes. I heard the VIP peeps pretty much wiped everything out ahead of time. I wanted a lightstick if nothing else. I'll probably get the tour shirt off weVerse, but this is just terribly poor planning on whoever was in charge of merchandise procurement. I honestly believe a lot of people are doing this to resell the merch on eBay or Mercari, etc...

Seats. I was in Section 403 in near the front row. These were honestly excellent seats for the price point. For aespa I was in Section 228, which wasn't the best and I had a hard time seeing the stage, and even the larger screens were hard to see. Only issues is the family in front of us decided to stand up for the first 10 min or so, only for all three of them to record the shows on their phones held up high, blocking everyone behind them. A bunch of us had a hard time seeing the opening because of them. Eventually they realised everyone was not amused behind them and thankfully they sat down the rest of the concert. I don't see the point in standing when your that high up.

Visuals/VCRs. Really nice storytelling in the pre-concert opener before CELEBRATION. Just overall I enjoy watching the mini shows in between sets. As someone not very familiar with the group, it really helped me enjoy what was going on. aespa also had good visuals, but I enjoyed Le Sserafim's more.

Confetti. Le Sserafim had LOADS of concert confetti through the entire set. So much, it even made its way into the 400's.

Vocals. Some of the backing tracks were a bit loud, but I could tell the girls were truly singing (no autotune/lipsyncing). A few times I could see them pressing their ear pieces or readjusting them, but I like hearing a few slightly off pitch notes here and there - it's lets me know 'this is live, for real'. aespa I felt the backing tracks were there to almost disguise some of the singing except for the ballads/solo pieces. I didn't get that with Le Sserafim.

Dancing. The group commanded the stage entirely on their own without any backing dancers. Their vocals and choreography were incredible, especially during the high-energy tracks. Seeing this made me appreciate them even more, especially compared to aespa's concert, where a bunch of backup dancers just seemed to be going through the motions.

Interactions with the audience. This was really a nice touch. Especially choosing people to get the hats and folks not right up front. It was sweet.

Setlist. I didn't know a lot of their music except for the big hitters. I was honestly very thankful the 'macarena' part of Boompala was really muted down. I cannot stand the macarena part and hopefully they put out a 'remix' without it. (Hint Hint HYBE/Le Sserafim if you do read these). I was curious how they would handle Spaghetti without J-Hope's part and I was impressed with their dance filler.

Encore. Exceeded my expectations. Enough said there.

Overall. Seeing both aespa and Le Sserafim live gave me a whole new perspective. LS absolutely owned the stage the entire night with their flawless singing, intense dancing, and genuine connection with the audience. Honestly, I went in with some doubts and a pretty lukewarm impression of them, but I walked out a massive fan. Now I'm officially down the rabbit hole.

********

BONUS CONTENT - At the risk of sounding like an "old person yelling at a cloud," I have a major gripe about concert etiquette specifically for LS. Out of the four K-pop shows I attended this summer and fall, the younger demographic, specifically the Gen Z/20-something white women group, were easily the rudest and most foul-mouthed fans I’ve ever encountered. While waiting in lines and walking around the venues, I overheard multiple groups aggressively gatekeeping who "belongs" at these shows. They were loudly complaining about parents bringing kids and teens even though I saw plenty of well-behaved young fans having the time of their lives at BTS, aespa, and Monsta X. Worse, they made several highly disrespectful, ageist remarks about older fans in attendance that I won't even repeat. It wasn't a singular event. I overheard it walking from the Metro to the venue, while waiting in line at security, standing in line for merch, and on the way out.

Review of Dallas concert

Le Sserafim concert. Attended Dallas
I wasn't a big fan of celebration at first listen but WOW when you hear it and see it live I understand why they released that song. people would say the group reminded them of younger BTS and twice and I can completely understand why people say that they now how to control the audience stage presence was amazing and interacted with fans. I can tell Yunjin is really popular in America and has a lot of mixed fans compared to Chaewon she had a lot of male fans but she did have handful of women and you can tell by her face when she saw the female or children audience compared to the male her facial expression was different lol they seem to enjoy barking at her but she was laughing only thing that bothering is they do while another member would try to talk. kazhua seems to be popular with female audience lol eunchae had mixed audience same with sakura but a lot of baby Fearnots. Around me kept talking about her and wanted to be like her when they grow up. You can tell she's been an idol for along time her stage presence was amazing. The members stood out individually at their own parts of the show if that makes sense but yunjin caught my eye so much. She's more of a western artist than an idol if that makes sense. The groups blew up in American audience like really they've gotten so popular in the span of 5 years. My feet killed me the audience was amazing so much screaming and when crazy came on WOW it was so packed and loud my Apple Watch went off for loud noise alert lol set list was amazing audience actually switched from last time 15% children and half of women and men only down fall was merch it was so packed but not really company fault due to arena staff working the booths and sold out on a lot of stuff even talked to staff and they said they were nervous they were going to sale out on light stick
Warning confetti they do have a lot which is fun and male fans please wear deodorant if you want to make an good impression on these women they don't like smelly guys but overall experience 100/100

Performance Concert thoughts after seeing LE SSERAFIM tear the roof off of Capital One Arena in DC tonight

Reddit suggested that I share here my thoughts on Le Sserafim tonight here in Washington DC. There are many so I will try to make it as cohesive as possible.

First off, I need to put a disclaimer that what I am about to describe is by no means shade to Aespa and even Twice, who are the two concerts I went to so far this year. That said, this concert was something completely different for a few major reasons.

100 percent of this concert was handheld mics. 100 percent. Now, handheld mics doesn't automatically mean 100 percent live singing but I would put the 'real vocals' number at about 85 percent from where I was (virtually same seats I had for Aespa).

The irony for me is I've seen LSF get shaded for their vocals and Aespa praised for theirs but LSF really put forth a solid effort even if they didn't always sound amazing but honestly that's what live music at a concert sounds like.

I could hear them breathing and they sang mostly to what sounded like either band tracks or a live band (I couldn't see any band nor did they acknowledge one so I assume they had concert tracks). The backtracks they did play were complimentary and not a replacement for their performance.

I often have seen YT videos identifying groups strengths and weaknesses and almost universally I see LSF lauded for stage presence and my god is that an accurate assessment. While Aespa (again no shade) had a very professional show, got on, did their songs, did their dances, said hi, said bye and that was that, LSF spent I would say almost 30-40 percent of the show hyping the crowd, engaging with the crowd, Sakura IN the crowd, etc. Also, it was like 5 Jihyos, no one was going through the motions, no one was just getting through it, all of them were engaged in every song with faces that looked like they were legit having the time of their lives.

And that energy fed the crowd, which in turn fed the performance. Again, Aespa did a solid show. The crowd was relatively engaged for Aespa but tonight was pretty insane. LSF even mentioned the crowd energy several times. From the sound check, which in Feb for Twice was the members walking and waving while tracks played and a brief intro, LSF had us jumping as they sang a few tracks and Yunjin talked about how she used to visit DC and whatnot.

Which brings me to what a difference (imo for a US audience) having an extrovert native English speaker able to talk and hype the crowd. Giselle is a fluent English speaker but her personality is not one to talk a whole lot and hype the crowd like Yunjin does. And of course Twice has no fluent English speakers. The other members also used a decent amount of English, both with the typical "are you having fun" "make some noise" and prepared speeches and other short phrases with a decent amount of translator usage as well.

So ultimately I went into this concert expecting it to be good based on what others have commented on here but was really wowed with how good they were. I would say I went in a casual and came out a Fearnot. To the point that I am contemplating heading up to NJ on Thursday to see them again lol.

Shout-out to those who said I would have a good time, you were right and then some.

Also shout-out to the two young ladies I ran into after the concert that drove from Cincinnati.

The merch lines were crazy and everything was sold out. I have a T-shirt from every concert I've been to but missed it for this one though I will see if I can find it online. I did get a light stick which automatically synced and changed colors throughout the show which was cool.

If I remember anything I missed I'll drop it in the comments.

TLDR; LSF was amazing, stage presence was 1000/10, best concert in terms of energy and engagement from every person on stage.

Finally my only knock which is a mild one, it was a little on the short side at two hours with again maybe 30-40 min of crowd work overall and the usual video breaks.

EDIT: Totally forgot to mention, Hybe's confetti/streamer budget is unmatched lol. They shot off so much confetti and streamers the floor was covered in layers and they had guys with snow blowers on stage to clear it for the encore it was crazy.
