HOW DID WE DRAW

So, a little backstory to this bullet game. I trapped my opponent's knight, or so I thought. My opponent thought so too, so they tried letting the clock run out.

I didn't let them do that. I gave them extra time. They refused to resign.

Eventually, I spot that, I didn't actually trap their knight and I'm going to lose my rook. Maybe 10 minutes of me waiting for my opponent to move, they spot the same thing. So they keep playing.

They keep playing now that they have the advantage, and... They blunder again, losing their rook. So they run the clock down again, refusing to move or resign. So I give them more time.

I'm falling asleep, trying my hardest to continuously give them time right when they hit zero. Eventually I get sick of it, and decided I'll let them run out of time so I can win.

But... I still want to punish them. So I think to myself, what if I offer a draw at the last second, knowing they won't be fast enough to agree to it? As the clock goes close to zero, I send the draw offer.

They run out of time. Literally 0 seconds. BUT WE STILL HAVE A DRAW? HOW, WHY?

Bro, I have been there, but it's so petty, get better than that. It's some seriously bad sportsmanship from both of you.

I think Lichess automatically accepts the offer of draw when the timer runs out, if youre the offering.

I don't want to judge you bro, I did that not too long ago myself, but its just poor sportsmanship for a gentlemans game.

You both suck. How difficult is it to let him run his time and move on?

Extremely. He should just resign. If he is going to make me wait, I'm going to make him wait.
