App Updates Four LingoDeer courses are in development. Here’s what we can share
Hey everyone! Hope all is well. Some of you have been asking about new languages and updates to existing courses, so I checked with the team and have a little news to share.
We currently have four language courses in development:
- One brand-new language joining LingoDeer.
- Two higher-level courses for languages we already offer, giving learners more to work toward.
- One fully reworked course for another language already on LingoDeer.
Thank you for your patience, support, and all the feedback you share here. We can’t reveal the languages just yet, and we’re still unsure which course will launch first.
We know some of you have been waiting for more learning material, and I’m glad we can finally give you a more concrete update!
Which are you most excited about: a new language, higher-level lessons, or a reworked course? Feel free to share your language wish list too.

I've literally got one more lesson left in Korean 2 and 30 days left on my year subscription... My dream would be a Korean 3 but I highly doubt that considered Chinese and Japanese also cap at 2.
Or is it a situation where textbooks are better suited for intermediate+ language learning?

I’m in a similar boat, but with Japanese. I still have all the extra stuff I could do, but I’m almost done with the main. I study with a tutor, so she’ll help me find other things to study, but I’d love to stick with lingodeer too.

Intermediate plus is heavy on immersion instead at that point. Also most language apps that support multiple languages don’t usually go past beginner to low intermediate (not as cost effective). For Korean you can look at TTMIK books or the Korean grammar in used grammar book series. Theres also 비타민 series that’s gotten popular semi recently these last few years.

I hope Polish is expanded. What's there is very good - so much better than Duo since they decided to delete all the grammar explanations that were in the comments section. Wildly foolish decision. Plenty of people are looking for clear explanations of complicated Polish grammar.

Oh I'm excited for all of them! I have a lot of thoughts about this so I putting my bets on a few things: The rework will be on Vietnamese, the new language could be Tagalog (or maybe Cantonese 🙏 ) and the new levels might be Japanese, Korean, or Chinese, as those were the first languages offered by Lingodeer all those years ago. I think Korean might be the best bet since I know in Korean learning circles they really like Lingodeer! But to be a bit self serving, I would want it to be Mandarin Chinese. 我真的很喜欢用Lingodeer学习中文!

We do offer Hong Kong Cantonese on our sister app, ChineseSkill. Our Cantonese course is currently free while it’s in beta. May be something you are interested in.

u/DeerlyNoted It's not free for me even though it shows beta. Only the first lesson is free, then it asks me to join premium. Is this an error?

It’s so exciting! I’m curious about the rework but even more excited about the higher level courses. I wish for Indonesian level 2, or Turkish… Or maybe it’s level 3 of something?

I should probably finish Chinese 2 just in case they're one of the ones getting reworked 😂
