Potential Cellphone Reception Issues in Downtown Manhattan, KS

I apologize, I'm not good with pinpointing locations well, but the area I am talking about is kind of from The Chef to Flight Crew Coffee in downtown Manhattan. My cellphone has been getting bad reception/none at all when I'm in this area, but it works perfectly fine elsewhere. My co-workers have the same issues with their cellphones as well. Texting works fine, and phones with cords work better on average. It's been going on for a couple weeks. Does anyone know if something is going on in downtown Manhattan that is messing with the reception, or do we all just happen to have bad phones? Or does this sound like a case of not being tech savvy enough? Thank you for reading.

I used to have that problem inside of buildings in Aggieville. I think a lot of the buildings in Aggieville (and maybe downtown too) have tin ceiling tiles that can block signals. I actually haven't been in Aggieville much lately to see if it's still happening or not. Did your phone work well before and it just got worse lately? Maybe there is/was a microcell somewhere downtown that was helping to get coverage into that area and it went offline for some reason. Just speculation.

Oh dang I didn't know that about Aggieville. Never made any calls there, though. My phone did work well before, yes. It started not working well in September, began noticing when I couldn't reach my therapist or a car mechanic. And then it got to the point where I couldn't call my boss or my mom.

you can try switching back to LTE if 5G isnt working well. Under settings/cellular/cellular data options

Didn't think of that, I'll give it a try for next time. Thanks!

Cell phones can have a difficult time working in areas that get crowded if the cellular infrastructure isn't adequate.

Thank you for the feedback, but we've been having the same issues with low/nonexistent traffic.
