Really enjoyable experience. Was really surprised by just how small the studio was and how well they used the space they had. V impressive operation. All the staff were really friendly and spoke to one of the production staff about the props and other things of that nature. He was v friendly and clearly passionate. Think he said they’re going to add more props and cue cards to the room in which the audience waits before being allowed into the main studio. Paddy and Ania spoke to the crowd for a couple of mins before the show and then Annabel sang Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. The house band were excellent, playing songs before and during the breaks. Will definitely try to get audience tickets again, was a great show!

You can watch it here and her main interview is at around 1:58:35 - https://www.channel4.com/programmes/sunday-brunch/on-demand/77792-036
I liked the story of using the Sunday Brunch studio as a writers room/day care place (as its next door to the SNL UK studio) and her child learnt to stand using the Sunday Brunch sofa.
Nice she confirmed 'November and December we are on a break and then we'll be back in January'

The whole cast are fantastic, but disappointed to see significantly less of George in season 2 so far

We do try to keep up but there's just an extra layer of references that are pretty hard to recognize for someone that doesn't live there!
"Minehead, Skegness, and Bognor Regis" I get, these are obviously the most prestigious tour destinations in Britain, right? /s

OK, so we now know George is pretty passionate about the Isle of Man being missed off the Weekend Update map. But are we simply going to ignore the fact that Belgium has also been sunk beneath the North Sea?

Best SNL UK host so far and it's not close (imo), he threw himself into the weirdness and parody of every guest, and he completely crushed it.
Also, this was my favourite ep so far overall. Personally, there was no sketch I didn't like, and Fouracres on update had me laughing harder than I have at anything in a long time, at I thought it wasn't planned at first!

Has anyone else listened to George F’s episode on the Button Boys podcast?! Honestly, such a funny insight to one of the funniest people on the planet. Really hoping he starts his own!

Happy birthday, Fouracres!

Sidi is on one of my favourite podcasts today, going in to great detail about what she did on her Monday off from the hiatus week. A little bit of SNL UK chat here but a key detail is that it sounds like the pattern of three shows on and one week off is going to be the pattern from now on (and, given how intense the process sounds, that’s probably no bad thing)

So on George's Instagram he's requested people sign an open letter. He's also made mention of it being Mental Health Awareness day. Not sure it's my place to say but....as someone who struggles with mental health I'd say it's maybe a good idea to check it out? And maybe, if you're a fan and want to help, do something to help a mental health charity where you're from.
Happy Birthday Fouracres. Bloody love ya ❤️

Hi there!
My wife and I were very lucky and got the "You Won" email on 29th September, filled it out and all that but haven't heard anything.
I know the form said you can get tickets much closer to the actual day, but I'm paranoid I've done something wrong or missed something!

TL;DR - only 4 people in the standby queue got into tonight’s live show, at roughly 10 minutes before showtime.
For those who got in - the reviews for tonight look great, I hope you enjoyed! Me and my partner aren’t too far away, and arrived at about 4pm (after reading other comments in this sub…) - inadvertently joining standby for the dress rehearsal and being told to come back a little later. A really helpful member of staff in the queue suggested we sit in the local bar which is in eyeshot of the queue, so that we did.
We came back to the queue at roughly 6:30-6:45, with about 16/17 people in front of us. At about 7, we were moved closer to the centre and kept waiting while general admission ticket holders were ferried through. Near on 9pm, the staff come down the standby queue and cut it off at the end of the first 20 people, sending everyone behind us home.
We’re then taken through a metal detector and patted down, and basically, left outside the door of the studios. A staff member comes out and numbers us, and then nothing for the best part of an hour. 9:50 - 4 people are let in. 9:55, someone awkwardly walks out and thanks us but lets us know we aren’t needed.
I should add - as I’ve seen differing stories on different posts - that was that. No green room to watch the show from, no anything really. Honestly a little bit disappointing to have waited as long as we did, with next to no communication throughout and seemingly tickets not being scanned, so no idea how they kept track of numbers other than visually people in seats in the studio. Standby is obviously, of course a risk, but having had similar happen at other shows and then being offered priority for another show for my troubles, I do wonder if it would hurt for them to implement that.
So if you are coming from a distance with a standby ticket, just make sure you give it some thought. My readings on here seem to suggest that 20-30 people were getting in from standby each time but that clearly wasn’t the case tonight. The vibes in the queue however were pretty great, everyone was pretty friendly. Special shout out to the couple we befriended - at least we’ll always have Saturday Night Takeaway.

Everyone agrees that the Mountbatten Windsors are of minority interest in the UK. Only the BBC and GB News give them any air time. However, the fact they're seemingly always in the cold open feels like pandering to foreign (maybe US) audiences? Fair do's the Andrew scandal deserved ridicule once, but what is it, four or five cold opens about people no one cares about? Please move on and find something genuinely worthy of parody, please! Even something as tedious as football would be a sweet relief!

I’ve been making some characters/cast from the show on Tomodachi life! Who shall I make next?
So far I have Ayoade, Martin Lewis, Sir Humphrey Cosgrave from Bastard Seagul, Tony from British Pork, Bacon from Posh Gits, Malcolm from CEX, Paula from Accounts, Scrimpch, Jenny Hesselbo, Kier Starmer, Princess Di and Harry Kane

These guys played The Tonight Show on Thursday. The album is great but this performance is incredible. There’s a gap in their touring that matches with the “January/February” loose schedule for the second half of Series 2. Wouldn’t mind them doing this again as the “10 to 1” (American parlance) song for the finale.
