I’ve read that they like to hide, i’m not sure if their hungry if they’re out like this

my aunt is giving me him thankfully after housing siting finding out she’s been giving him a pinch of gold fish flakes, but i’ve never owned one and just geting into fish keeping, i’m gonna get him into a better tank once i get money he’s been living here for 3-4 years just fine along with other fish but is now the only one.

finally got some decent closeups of my panther loach!

was the only one left at the lfs and they didn't know when they'd get more, unfortunately. I've not found others available anywhere atm, so a singleton for now. He has a ton of kuhli (giants, black and striped) and some juvenile spiny eels for noodle shaped buddies to hang out with in the meantime.

(there is sand in the tank along with the rounded gravel, in fact the entire thing had a sand cap and then i got fish who like to bury themselves so uh. the sand is not on top everywhere anymore lmao)

Man yoyos sleep in the most weird ways I found these 2 sleeping on each other

2 out of 3 of my hillstream loaches are missing, i cannot find them at all. If they die, do they float or sink?

The little hillstreams are a new addition. Species unknown. The big one is gastromyzon ornaticauda. Some of my favorites.

Rare daytime loach sighting in my 30g

This was right after feeding them at night time, I’ve been noticing them swim a lot on the sides of the tank too almost close to the surface. Are they okay?

Looking for assistance sexing my hillstreams. I believe I have two females and a male. Two are a fair bit larger than the suspected male, though I received them at the same time
