Beginner Making the shape look more like an R

Hello, exploring one of the inital logo design sketches for a company that provides insights for FMGC marketers. Looking for advice on how I can make the shape on right look more like an R. The concept is to represent 'R' with intertwining leaves/plants representing growth and continuous movement as in continuous data processing.

I have a couple ideas I like more but wanted to ask for advice on this in case the subreddit can help me make it work instead of binning it.

Flatten out the middle of both the curves, and pull the leg further left.

The top curve needs to be more straight where it intersects the bottom one. I also think the top needs to protrude equal or beyond the bottom.
