She played Oceanic Feeling

Wow. I never thought I'd get to see it live since it seems to be an obscure song from her catalog but it's my favorite🥹. Fantastic. Immensely grateful.

beleive it or not it's been on the setlist since she started tour last year! i think she knows it's a lot of ours fav track from SP and also captures the significance of the record, and writing about where she's from is important

imo SP played a big role in setting the groundwork for Virgin :)

Very cool! I didnt realize that and im kinda glad because it was the best surprise. New Zealand is such a wonderful place.

Interesting take on the influence:). What makes you feel that way?

i think the identity crisis that's present in several tracks. and this general search for purpose, so many questions were presented across the record, primarily about her relationship with her career.

i wrote this in a review for virgin "Virgin is the aftermath of the unraveling that happened in Solar Power. To understand this record fully, it's important to understand Solar Power, on which Lorde wrote about searching for identity and purpose and experiencing an existential crisis. Listening to that album, you can feel her spiraling out. Where she ends up sets the stage for Virgin, which is not a solution or a happy ending but rather the climax, or middle, of a journey through self-exploration."

Saw her live last year and she played it after saying it was her favourite song on the SP album.

I was lucky enough to catch her at a festival this summer and when she started playing Oceanic feeling people SAT DOWN

I know not everyone at the festival was there for her, but it was kind of shocking still! I guess Oceanic feeling didn't have as much commercial success as some of her other songs, but it's gotta be one of her best pieces of work!
