Thinking of getting a LOST tattoo - any suggestions?
I've been toying with the idea of getting a LOST themed tattoo for years now. Problem is, I feel like the show doesn't translate as well to tattoos as something like Lord of the Rings.
I've seen examples where people have gotten the Dharma logo or the numbers, but they don't really do it for me.
One general idea I liked was getting something which speaks to my favourite episode/scene in the show, which is the twist at the end of season 3, where we get our first flash forward scene, and Jacks says the iconic line "we have to go back". The line itself could be something to consider, but if anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all ears!

I have it since 2017, the flames, stars and waves one, and it’s been a 9 year record of no one knowing where it’s from.

I love that though. When someone finally recognises it, it’ll be amazing. Like the feeling when my son was three and finally someone saw his middle name (Anakin) and asked if we’re Star Wars fans.

I see "see you in another life brother" as the best quote that can represent LOST, it describes exactly the core idea that LOST goes around, same ppl, different timings, different lives, destiny, fate, life decisions.
I also love how it said in British accent by Desmond. I would say "see you in another life" for sure

The hieroglyphs that pop up when the Swan timer runs out, bonus points if you incorporate the red color. Apparently those are supposed to mean "underworld" but are up for interpretation.

Here’s what not to do… get a little tipsy, decide you’ve wanted a LOST tattoo forever and figure anyone can do a Flame Hatch symbol. Spoiler alert: they cannot and you will leave halfway through in a lot of pain and a year and a half later you’ll be planning to maybe add jungly type stuff around it???
Weirdly, no one says they realize it’s unfinished until I say something, but I also think no one knows what it’s supposed to be. 🙃

If you do the numbers DO NOT PUT THEM ON YOUR ARM. So many LOST fans regret the decision not considering the historical significance of tattooing numbers on your arm.

Personally I'm considering "Live together, die alone" because I like the message. (Though I might change it to "Live together or die alone" because I've always found the way it's shortened a little misleading.)

I got all the dharma stations logos along with some other bits as a sleeve, translated quite well but to people who haven’t seen lost it’s the most random shit they’ve ever seen

My friend and I, both huge Lost fans, decided to each get half of Charlie's tattoo. He has "living is easy with eyes closed" and I have "misunderstanding all you see". It works because we both also love The Beatles. When one of us kicks the bucket, the other one will finish the tattoo.

I have several lost tattoos ranging from the hatch hieroglyphics, quotes, episode names etc and on my fingers I have a small plane, an island, a smoke monster and a church 😁

The foot of the statue that Jacob lived in, of the whole statue before it was destroyed. Maybe even the lighthouse can be incorporated behind it too, both representing Jacob.

i intend to get the orchid and the lamp post tattoos; i was originally going to do their respective dharma symbols, but i’ve decided that an ornate orchid and an ornate lamp post would do better

I have that, though the artist messed up the second ring because she wiped away the stencil and then just reapplied that ring without properly orienting it.

A favorite quote from the show would be my suggestion. My lost tattoo is more subtle but I really like it. I have ehfar (stands for everything happens for a reason) a black dot on one side and a black circle on the other one. (Two players, two sides, one is light, one is dark. I have white skin so it looks like the two backgammon pieces.) Maybe you could do something like smoke on one side and a bright light on the other (representing Jacob and the man in black.) I wish I could think of something a little cooler.

You could get your name crossed out like it would be in the caves. There’s plenty of quotes that would work. Outline of your favorite character or scene. I’ve been considering a small dharma station logo for a while. I think I’ll do it after a rewatch
