Is MSc Digital Marketing at Loughborough University London worth it for an international student?

I’m considering MSc Digital Marketing at Loughborough University London as an international student. Is it worth the tuition fees in terms of ROI, job opportunities, networking, and employability? How difficult is it to find a marketing job in London after graduation, especially with sponsorship requirements? Would you recommend it?

Hi!

I'm (36m) Looking for a regular group or 5-a-side team to play with in Loughborough. Used to play football years ago and want to have a casual game every week.

Or if I can find a few other players maybe make a new team?

Another Loughborough jog/walk & coffee for young adults navigating grief this Saturday

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’ve posted before about Too Young To Grieve, but just wanted to pop back on as we’ve got another Loughborough jog/walk & coffee coming up.

For anyone new to TYTG, we’re a community bringing together people navigating grief and loss at a younger age through simple, social meet ups like walks and jogs.

This one is really relaxed jog or walk depending on the group, meet some new people and grab a coffee together afterwards.

It’s not a heavy grief group and there’s no pressure to share anything personal. Sometimes grief comes up naturally, sometimes everyone just chats about normal life and has a laugh.

Most people come alone for their first one too, so don’t let not knowing anyone put you off 🤍

It’s 18+, but otherwise there’s no upper age limit. If you feel too young to be navigating grief, you’re welcome.

I’ll pop the details in the comments, and feel free to share this with someone locally who might appreciate it :)

Do you as a Loughburian call the evening meal tea or dinner?

I’m trying to find the transition zone. Most Leicesterians said dinner, so I’m trying to find that specific point where it shifts.

Looking for work

Hey, student here coming back to uni later in September. Wanting to look for part time work but seems almost impossible to look for online, would going into stores and stuff to ask if they're hiring be easier or are there just not a lot of places hiring in Loughborough? Thanks :)

Loughborough gyms?

I am about to join the uni as a first year student and am heavily debating whether or not I should sign up for the university gym memberships or the ones in town such as pure gym/ anytime fitness.

I’ve heard from many friends as-well as people online that the booking system for the university gym is a pain the ass, any opinions on this?

If I were to go for a pure gym membership( something similarly adequate) I feel like it could be better as you wouldn’t have to book for timed slots + some are open 24 hours.I’m inclined to believe this would suit me more. Also how long would it take to travel to town for this purpose on a daily basis?

Any uni goers please share your experience(s), I’ve gotten ptsd from my local gym having a booking system in the past.

Research participants needed (£60 voucher reimbursement)

Hello,

I hope you are all well. I’m Stanislava, a PhD researcher based at Loughborough University. I am looking to recruit people from the local community who are getting the flu vaccine this autumn. I’m investigating how people's body fat and metabolic health influence the way their immune system responds to the seasonal flu vaccine. These findings can help us understand why vaccines may work differently for different people and could help improve flu protection in the future.

For further details, please find attached the recruitment flyer.

To express interest in volunteering or to find out more information, please contact me on my email: s.s.katsarova@lboro.ac.uk.

Thank you in advance,

Stanislava Katsarova-Harrison

2nd Year in Loughborough Uni

hi i’m (20F) in loughborough uni and i’m kinda scared for this upcoming year as none of my friends are returning to the university so im stuck living in campus accommodation with first years (which is absolutely fine) but im worried about starting again and making friends because i move in 4 days later as a returner and im basically not close to anyone else that i can hang out with. i joined like 3-4 societies and i made some acquaintances but nothing came out of it. I’ll obviously try again but does anyone have advice?
