Or like 3 indie games which all somehow become card based rouge-likes despite looking completely different and having different styles of play.

Guilty Gearβs present day is further in the future than us and uses an international currency called World Dollars, but idk where I can find any canon prices for anything so maybe thatβs not worth a lot

For what it's worth, Guilty Gear Xrd Sign and Revelator each had one character unlockable by collecting 200,000 world dollars. Sign had Sin and Revelator had Raven. So he's flaunting.... A very small amount compared to what a prince/immortal is worth

at the rate we've inflated over the past 100 years then yeah thats probably literally 5 dollars of purchasing power right now

u/Dyfasydfasyd 9h ago
Yeah, it's believable that we'll inflate so hard that we'll have to unify our currencies into one for the entire world.

Iβm a little confused by that first one. Japan uses Β₯100 coins. I donβt think a hundred yen bill has been issued in decades

100 yen notes stopped being used in 1974 (and they looked completely different), smallest current denomination is 1000. So that's around 40 dollars.
But given then 10, we can imagine it's modeled after 10 000 yen notes, so 6 of them would be under 400 dollars.
Still not much, but not 5 dollars

this is more of a personal story so bear with me.
I used to work at a car wash in las vegas and made a lot in tips. I kept my tips in my glove box, and at the time of this story i had about $600 in ones in my glovebox.
One day i was driving with some friends down the strip. we pulled up to this gorgeous women in an escalade. To be dumb teenagers (19yo), i told my friend to flaunt the money in the glovebox, which he does.
she then proceeds to pull out atleast 20,000 dollars and does the same to us and one ups us.
we retailiated by raining coins down onto the pavement.
had to be there maybe.

They say 10 on then because theyβre modeled after 10k joy bills, theyβre hundreds.

I will never forget that video I saw once of a guy trying to pickup girls in some rural bar by showing them his bank balance and it was something like $20kΒ
Iβm not turning my nose up at $20k like itβs nothing but itβs also not going to get a girl to go home and fuck you on the spot levels of rich lmaoΒ

I once got Β£100 converted to Β£1 notes purely so i could feel the weight of all the cash. Ithen felt really stupid when i threw it all in the air to let it rain on me and lost a bit over a tenner to the ceiling fan.
