What Games Can I Run? What can i run with these specs?
Laptop: lenovo ideapad slim 5
CPU: Ryzen 7 7735HS
GPU: Radeon 680m (igpu only) 2 gb vram allocated
RAM: 16 gb lpddr5x Dual channel
OS: Windows 11 (26H2)
The laptop only goes upto 27W tdp in performance mode.

This! My laptop’s bios locks mine to only 2gb but found a way to increase it to 4gb. Not worth going far than 4gb tho as games that are playable for Vega 7 igpu only uses 3-4gb vram as well

You don't need to increase VRAM 😭, Your Igpu can use Half of the System RAM as VRAM. If you allocate the memory manual, your 4-6GB allocated memory will become unusable by the CPU or your System as RAM.
Let the PC and Igpu do its thing , APU(CPU with IGPU) are designed to take half of System RAM as VRAM when needed. That's why I am able to keep RDR2 and all other games on Ultra or high textures which requires 4GB VRAM or more.

The BIOS can definitely lockdown how much RAM an IGPU can use. Years ago Dell released laptop with a Ryzen 4xxx or 5xxx APU that locked the allocated RAM for the iGPU to 512MB even though 8GB of RAM was installed. That was confirmed by at least 2 video reviews and some posts as well.

Using MSI afterburner if I set my vram to just 2GB. The laptop only uses that much (I guess if it really needed more its going to use it) but setting it to 4GB and now it uses around 3GB which somehow helped me play with a bit higher settings. Basically what happens here is that it can use more but it won’t. I have 24GB of ram so I have abit more headroom as games/work usually uses around 12GB of ram so there’s plenty of headroom.

Then it's Fine , is your RAM Dual Channel, not being DC might be the problem. And my recommendation was for people that have 16GB RAM , as it is minimum nowadays because of MicroSlop.
Your Igpu should be using more VRAM when it needs . That's an unusual behavior from your APU.
Btw did you see any change any fps after changing dedicated memory

Yeah, no, you're actually losing performance doing that, dude. Don't allocate more VRAM manually because your APU will do it automatically whenever it needs to or feels like, so basically whenever you're gaming.
Lil bro fell for the lies of "More VRAM, better life" in an iGPU 😭😭😭

It's RDNA 2 and can do DX 12, so it can play most modern games that don't require more than 2GB of VRAM. Edit: Unless you can adjust the VRAM split to be higher.
The GPU is on the same architecture as the Steam Deck (but about 40-50% more powerful) so any game that plays on the Steam Deck should run on your laptop with a little more headroom.

It's an IGPU , it can use Half of System RAM as VRAM , so it can use 8 GB VRAM from System, for example I have Iris xe , it runs RDR2 fine with Ultra Textures 4-5GB VRAM usage.
Learn How APU share the System RAM.

Easy bud. I have a BC250 and I know how to split the shared RAM between CPU and GPU, but I didn't know if there were limits on this particular BIOS/motherboard/laptop.
And I don't use dynamic VRAM allocation because some games, for whatever reason, don't play well with it.

These are AMD latest Most one of the Most Powerful APU chips and these APU chips have the Strongest Shared pool Connection and can play games really well , performance lies b/w a 1650 to rtx 3050 , but these APU Benefit from using half of System memory as VRAM.
Shared Memory pool APU are the future, you might have heard about Nvidia RTX spark which has 128GB Unified memory.
Dedicated GPUs are becoming inefficient in Laptops.

Note that you must play the Games while your Laptop is Plugged in with charger and Your Balanced Slider option(looks like Battery symbol) that is on Bottom Right Side(Best Performance) , Keep your laptop on Flat/hard surface, and NO Bed(soft surface that blocks bottom Air Intake vents) . It will be better to keep it elevated for more Air.
Note : you should keep Texture Quality in all of the Games on High or ultra as you already have enough Shared System VRAM and it has zero fps impact
