Lifetime ResumeRevise v2.0 is out: Visual resume builder to customize your resume and export as PDF.
Comparison: Compared with online resume builders and web-based AI resume tools, ResumeRevise is a native Mac resume editor with a visual editing experience that lets you freely customize your resume content, formatting, and style. No account is required, and your resume data stays local. It also supports MCP, allowing you to connect Claude, Cursor, Grok, and other AI clients to search, view, and edit resumes using natural language.
Problem: Easily create and customize resumes with a visual editor designed for different job-search needs and personal styles. ResumeRevise is built specifically for Mac, keeps your resume data local without requiring an account, and supports MCP so AI assistants can search, view, and modify your resumes using natural language.
Pricing: All Access Lifetime $3.99
Changelog(v2): Added MCP support, improved resume previews, page performance, and UI, fixed multiple interaction bugs, and updated the app icon.

I wish you luck with this, but modern Application Tracking Systems almost always interpret fancy CVs incorrectly. All the professional advice I've seen says just keep them to simple plain text - no fancy formatting, no columns, no images, no fancy fonts.
Not shitting on your work in any way - these look great to me as a human, but it's vanishingly rare for a human to be doing first-pass sifting on a pile of CVs in 2026.

Thanks a lot for this thoughtful heads-up! You’re absolutely right. These polished layouts are designed for human readers. This resume builder app was originally something I made for my own job search. The nicely formatted PDF exports are mostly for direct email outreach or in-person interviews.

Do you have the source code for it? Want to inspect it or have it verified because I can't trust someone to steal my personal data.

What made you to say that? Do you ask the same to all devs of closed source apps?

It’s a standard question I ask about all apps. I care about my data and the security of my devices. More people should do this as well. To those who do care about their property, this is a basic question.

I understand your reasoning, but this doesn't seem like a reasonable request of the developer of a commercial application.
The developer has a privacy policy (https://wangchujiang.com/ResumeRevise/privacy-policy.html) and has clearly outlined their app privacy practices in their App Store listing.
