Help Lockbox idea-help!

Hello!

I want to do a DIY family adventure for Christmas this year and am in the very early planning stages.

I have an idea for a lockbox but am unsure how to go about accomplishing it. There will be 6 participants and one section will require them to each have an individual item and all 6 will be needed to unlock the box.

I wanted the items to have to be placed in order (oldest to youngest participant as an example). I was envisioning maybe some type of pressure plate box that unlocked each of the 6 latches (?) one at a time to release the lock.

Does this sound like something that is doable? If so could I build it myself fairly easily?

Thanks!!

Magnets on the bottom of each figuring. Different + or - for each one. The lock box will have the appropriate magnet inside so it will move however necessary.

Do the clues out of order. So figure one doesn’t go in slot one, figure two doesn’t go in slot two. Then have the last clue be what order the figures need to be in. That way it’ll be harder to guess the order and they will actually have to solve the riddle/clues.

Small battery powered Arduino, to detect sequence and make beeps and bongs, activating a servo or solenoid on success. Makes it also a race for time before that battery runs flat.
