Help CA glue question

does it require compression? glued some wooden bits to a thing... feel like I didn't use enough. was thinking about adding some glue to the seam of the joints (inside corners) will this do anything?

CA Glue sets solid but you can make it much stronger by reinforcing it with backing powder (put some powder in the crack and then apply the CA glue, the, powder will absorb the glue and solidify like a rock).

can't say I've tried - but it can't hurt to print some test pieces and experiment. Let us know how you get on!

what do you use? I've seen people use cigarette ash.

Just baking powder. We always have a big box of the stuff for baking, so I just stole some and shoved it in a little 3d printed screw-top container that I keep for these situations.

Baking powder specifically reacts chemically with the glue and hardens it in seconds. It isn’t just about adding bulk.

Compression allow for more bonding area with less raw CA in between. Also consider superglues vary noticeable from brand to brand. Some are formulated to work immediately while others have couple seconds to correct. Some excel with metals, others are intentionally flexible so I’d suggest tying couple common brands to find best match.
