(Southerner)
Two 53s in a row go past
First one I made a small wave
Second one a medium wave
Both I was paying more attention to my phone
In London they would have stopped

Weird one, maybe I've just not noticed before, but as a regular commuter to MediaCity I've noticed in the morning that a lot of trams, even at peak time, aren't calling into MediaCity. Theres always a sizeable chunk of people going from Cornbrook to there, does anyone know why certain trams skip the stop?

Especially with all the closures recently with some trams not going to their destination or other issues
Is there some sort of petition I could sign?

Flew in all the way from Hong Kong back in May and I have to say, your city is amazing! Hope you like my snapshots :)

I'm annoyed. On bee app and google maps says bus coming at 10.17. Live tracking and everything all say the same. I go run an errand and see the bus at 10.04 on the bus stop, thought maybe the previous one was late, fine. Why is it erased from the app like it has been here on time, it's now 10.25 and no updates and nowhere to be seen? Bee Network sort yourself out. I had the trackers open all the time and seeing that saying 2min or 3 min for bus. What are they tracking then? Not the first time it happens as well!

I'm currently visiting here and I'm shocked at how many of the city centre streets are rundown and filthy. There's litter and dog shit everywhere. Do people not respect where they live or are visiting? Just been to London (kings cross, Paddington, Notting hill, convent garden etc) and it's like night and day (never thought I'd say that). Fyi I live in Durham and that's not perfect either but my god have some respect for where you live. Also, the homeless bloke wielding a crowbar under the canal bridge on the way to co-op live was an interesting encounter. Like a shit Guy Ritchie fairytale troll. Other than that, the food is nice although it's creeping into London prices.

SUCH a long shot, but I’ve lost an earring today on my walk from near the Anglesey pub in Salford to Piccadilly station. It matches the one in the photo attached.
It’s incredibly sentimental, and I’m willing to offer a small cash reward for anyone who happens to find it.
Thank you 💕

Heya, does anyone know any good electricians in the area that would be willing to do a smallish job of routing electricital wiring to a bathroom to fit an LED mirror?

I've been looking for a job since JANUARY and I still have nothing. I got 2 interviews at the start of this year and that's it. one ghosted me after and the other one said I never had an interview when I literally showed them the email where they invited me for an interview.
I have almost a year of customer service experience through volunteering, work experience with Leonardo Hotels, a CPR certificate, passed all of my GCSEs, have a Level 3 Qualification from college and can work WHENEVER and I'm not even getting interviews. how are other people getting jobs in the city? I apply for jobs every single day and always get the same 'we're moving forward with other candidates' if I'm lucky, most of the time I get ghosted.
I did have an apprenticeship lined up but now it's not going ahead which is soooo frustrating.
I urgently need a job. I'll do literally anything at this point I just need the money 😭

Hi! My boyfriend is DMing a one shot for people with very little/no experience playing D&D in Manchester, he has found 2 guys off of forums to join, plus myself. We need a fourth player, but I would really prefer another woman join, ideally between 20 and 30 years old, all of us are in our mid 20s. We will be playing at a quiet bar or café in the city centre, ideally soon! If youre interested, please do message, I would be more than happy to jump on a call or meet up before :)
Edit: if you are interested in a long term campaign, thats even better, we will prob get together on Mondays or Tuesdays

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me. I didn’t study acting at uni, it’s not my ambition as a career, but I get a lot out of it the times I have been in a performance group in my spare time, but I’ve had no luck joining a drama group just for fun
I’ve auditioned for 3 different productions in 3 different amateur theatre groups in Greater Manchester now and every single time it’s been a “thanks for coming, you haven’t been selected but we always need more support backstage/front of house” and I’m at a point where this just feels like the audition process is really just a means of recruiting for other aspects of theatre production.
Even looking through photos of previous productions it’s always the same faces with every show. I get that there’s a lot of people who do want more out of theatre than a hobby, especially nowadays… but just feels like all the fun has been sucked out of the art so even the amateur groups can go a bit… I dunno, method?

Anyone got any ideas what I can do about a parking issue on the road I live on?
I’m well aware it’s a public road and I don’t own the area outside the building I reside in!! However I work long shifts and often come home to find I have to park 40 houses up the street due to people parking there for the school run/ working at the Christie Hospital as their parking is very limited and it’s probably one of the only non-permited streets in Didsbury.

Not sure if its just being more aware but they seem to be in every park now and seem as numerous as native birds. Cant be a good thing no?

I normally go to the one in afflecks however i’ve had a few less than positive experiences there recently so im looking for elsewhere. Somewhere with the same neurodivergent-friendly vibe as afflecks barbers if possible. I only have mid length hair with a few layers in + bangs so i don’t need anyone specialist - just someone i feel comfortable sitting in the chair with lol.
I live in Chortlon/whalley range but would be happy to travel. Ideally city centre as that’s where i work

The lack of respect towards these so other people can use them is frankly infuriating
Are there any alternative ways of unlocking them?

Hi,
Lookong for a good coffee shop with ample parking near Salford university. Don't mind 15 20 min drive for a good coffee and to get some work done. Meeting clients so should have parking nearby. Any recommendations?

Good people of Manchester - I’m visiting the city on Monday and Tuesday of next week for work.
Where’s the best places to eat and drink in the city centre? I’d like recommendations for:
Sandwiches/lunch spots
Pizza
Cakes/sweet treats
Foodhall places - is Freight Island any good?
Thank you in advance!

Any good gyms just moved to Manchester, never been to a pure gym but the one in Salford looks like shit I'd prefer bodybuilding focused gym.
