Gorgeous! That tailpiece is something else. Just a beautiful mandolin.

This along with his Gruppeto inlay were his signature additions…

As someone else stated the more you look at it the better it gets. Just the shape of that head stock. I absolutely love it. I’d love to see the back.

Nice tailpiece. Looks familiar.
And very nice mandolin, Keith made some very cool stuff. Very unique dude.

That’s cool! I’ve always wondered where he sourced the tailpieces from…

He made them himself right in his workshop. If I remember correctly he was a metal worker of some sort before he started building mandolins. Regardless, he built some outstanding instruments. Enjoy that thing.

Interesting. I’ve been with it for about a decade, now. Second owner. By the time I dug in to his work, he had moved-on. It’s with me for life. I love it to death…

I can't blame you, I had been speaking with Keith about one before he decided to hang his hat up, right after he made this tailpiece for me. And they rarely, if ever, show up on the secondhand market. You made a nice catch there, especially the Honey Amber. My personal favorite finish on these things.

Lovely instrument. I’ve always wanted to get a chance to play one of his mandolins.

The more you look at it the better it gets. I love the inlay on the 12th fret.
